Sorry, I'll stick with what the Nam veteran helicopter pilot stated. He was there in the thick of combat and should know what he's talking about.
Remember, it was 4 decades ago....and I'm sure the helicopters of that era were not the same as those utilized today.

Leni, I linked the special ops version to you, all you have to do is read the link. Frankly, I find it amazing that the military (special ops) would put so many highly trained men on one platform....for obvious reasons. But the fact that special ops uses Chinooks is not in dispute.
