Gee...the article states 17 copters down just this year alone. The terrain seems to be a good part of the problem.

Rest in peace patriots!

I regret that your final service was under NATO.

Our prayers are for those young heroes and their families. They whole country isn’t worth the life of one US soldier. The Brits found this out in the 19th Century, the Russians in the 1980s. Only one man ever conquered the Afghans—Alexander the Great and he did it by marrying one of their princesses, Roxanne. The Afghans still grumble about the Greeks. The Islamic people have elevated Alexander into a sort of saint making defeat to him more palatable. This is a sad day for all Americans! I only fear it will be the first of many.

The terrain seems to be a good part of the problem.Nothing a few nukes couldn;t fix.

This si heart wrenching news. 31 families about to recieve "the visit". 31 families about to get the soul ripped out from their hearts.

I'm so mad I could spit.

And that American hating bastard in the White House is probably teeing off on the links right about now. F'im.

Let's see him do a photo op at Dover AFB. But then again, that would dishonor 31 of our best and brightest.

This isn't a war ....it's nation building in the heat of tribal wars which will never cease. IMO. Unless they loosen the ties that bind our troops from winning it.

Who's the idiot who orders 31 Americans into one helicopter?!

One cruise missle would be a better bet!

slight correction: genghis khan conquered the place. he also dealt with terrorists and pirates. but the mongols really drew a hard line. if you went along with the program and didnt attack them or other people they pretty much left you alone to do your thing, if you did attack them, they killed everyone in your village involved or not. pretty much everyone went along, or their towns and cities ceased to exist.

We are leaderless.

It's time to get out and there are two ways to do it:

  1. Win

  2. Just leave

Without leadership committed to victory the only reasonable alternative is #2.

I am sick of seeing great Americans give their lives for a government that doesn't respect them or the country.

This administration sees the military as just another political football. Obama is more committed to making the military a home for gays than to completing missions and ultimate victory on the battlefield.

If we can't engage in WAR ... YOU know .. killin' everything, breaking and kicking down all obstacles ... in order to win .. (The goal of a war .. right?) ...

Then let's never go to war again.

Let's make the entire nation's border one, continuous, Checkpoint Charlie.

So many brave and valuable men ... just gone.

God, grant the families peace and give us grace to be humble before You.

Any warriors with pussyfooting rules of engagement, is bound to lose via attrition. As Rudyard Kipling wrote, “the odds favor the cheaper man”.

Your comment reminded me of how back when the Dems demanded that pictures be allowed of the flag covered caskets coming into Dover.....
