TORONTO - Another honour killing in our midst and the silence is deafening.
Shaher Bano Shahdady was just 21, a young mother who wanted to live her Canadian life as a free Canadian woman. And for that, she was strangled to death in front of her toddler.
From the Baloch region of Pakistan, she came to Toronto as a little girl. At 14, her father, Mullah Abdul Ghafoor, sent her back to Pakistan to study at a religious fundamentalist madrassa and a few years later she was forced into an arranged marriage with her first cousin.
But her precious son was her ticket back home.

But she had to sponsor her husband here and his arrival in May forced her back into the cage she had struggled so long to escape. He wanted her to wear a burka, to stay away from Facebook, to put aside any plans she had of resuming a secular education.
She rebelled, explains Tarek Fatah, founder of the Muslim Canadian Congress. With the help of social services, she got an apartment for herself and her son. She was leaving her husband and asking for a divorce. How dare she? It would dishonour everyone.
She and her son moved out July 1. After just three weeks of freedom, she was dead.

Absolutely, it was an honour killing, contends Fatah. This is the fundamental issue here that no one wants to address. Nobody wants to tell Muslim men that women are not their possessions. Its about womens sexuality and men who say they own the franchise to it.
Toronto Police refuse to confirm that. Maybe all the facts arent in yet. Or maybe its just not politically correct. She decided to separate from the marriage and its alleged that he killed her, says spokesman Tony Vella.
And they call Islam the religion of peace. Nope. It’s a warrior cult code...period.
Demons, all of them.
I dislike Islam intensely, but let’s be realistic: men killing women who leave them is endemic in every culture, from what I can tell.
I understand your meaning but
“Its a warrior cult code”
calling them warriors dishonor true warriors
these men are nothing but vile murdering thugs
name another culture where killing women who leave them or dishonor them is part of the law/code?
certainly not in the western world
You miss the point about honor killings.
You’re right. They attack innocent people, hiding behind a warped excuse for a religion. If you need proof, compare violent deaths per 100K population in countries with the highest percentage of Muslims. There’s virtually a perfect correlation: The higher the percentage of Muslims in the country, the higher the violent death rate per 100,000 people.
Actually, it’s a cult of chickensh**s.
.
Where are the US feminists?
The silence from liberals are stories like this is amazing.
Code or no code, every day in America, a non-muslim man murders a woman who left him. All you have to do is look at the headlines. Whether you call it ‘honor killing’ or ‘domestic violence,’ she’s just as dead.
and what happens to the murdering husbands here?
what happens tp the muslims who honor kill in muslims countries
what happens to any muslim male who committs an honor killing for any reason in a muslim country?
there is No equivalency.
Not the point.
It's acceptable if the male is Muslim by the consent of silence from progressive, leftist, socialist, enlightened, modern women's advocacy groups, or Big Broad, as I call them for convenience.
No equivalency for the man, perhaps, but the woman is just as dead. Look, if it rarely happened in our own culture, I wouldn’t say anything. We don’t have many suicide bombers, for example. But violence against women is apparently part of men’s nature. Just a sad fact.
It goes the other way around, too.
let him sit in the kitchen
til the red rooster crows
and drink bootleg whiskey
til he loses control
let him find him somebody
he can treat like a dog
let the house fall down
and let him grow old
chorus:
but she aint goin back
she aint goin back
she aint goin back to danville
til shes dead
he got the whole town believin
that she was to blame
this towns filled with people
with his last name
shes heard that the devil
lives way down below
but the devils little brother
lives on old danville road
repeat chorus
now her mommas tombstone
sits high on a hill
she been gone seven years
she misses her still
but one fine day
theyll be together again
shell go back to danville
if theyll let her in
Nonsense, warriors have a highly developed code of honor. They protect women and children and generally treat helpless individuals as noncombatants. Islam is a cult of stone age savages.

Again...correct. See my post #8.
Warriors don’t murder defenseless women.
Muddying the waters with BS is apparently part of womens’ nature. Just a sad fact.
