I agree that a lot of Texans seem to hate him. I remember that I, myself, got irritated with him during the Arizona immigration issue. Skipping ahead a year or two, it appears he was right. I thought Gardasil was an over-blown pile of garbage. Keep in mind, local Texas media is just about as tainted as the national media. They’re going to run negative stories on him. I think once his Texas record becomes public and people (including Texans) see what he has truly done, a lot of this skepticism will fade. People will sign on and get behind him. It appears from the circles of people I talk with, his naysayers are a more vocal group. His supporters are quiet, but also larger in number. Just wait to see if he announces. Things will change in a hurry (for the positive.) One last thing...to prove up my theory, Texans re-elected him. That means that resourceful conservatives have faith in him. Bill White or Medina could’ve easily drum up the numbers to defeat him. I think this same population will get behind him on a national scale.

You sound like a reasonable man. I’ll take your opinion into consideration. One of biggest concerns is the democrats will paint him as “Another George Bush” because he’s governor of Texas. How do we handle that?
