My heart goes out to these guys, there must have been some brave ones that thought hard about this, and that couldn’t find a way out of their dilemma, there are some heroically brave cops and officials down there mixed in with the corrupt and murderous traitors.

Even rats know when to jump off a sinking ship. It’s called self preservation. Mexico is devolving into a narco financed dictatorship, with the players fighting it out for control of the country. The next government to run Mexico is gonna be owned lock, stock, and barrel by the gangs producing and running drugs. It’s a knock down, drag out battle of attrition right now, and the Mexican government is on the losing side. Not to justify illegals jumping the border, but when you have that many people running away from something, the US might want to focus on the people the illegals are trying to run away from.

Unless that is, you are profiting by exploiting a source of cheap, easily manipulated labor, in which case you are no better than the 19th century slave drivers (not directed at you, it’s there to make a point, no offense intended).

Before Billions of borrowed dollars are thrown at a proposed solution, it should be asked if the Billions of dollars are actually buying anything useful or if it is just buying Billions of dollars worth of self-delusion.

A physical fence is as useful as building a fence around your property to keep flies from coming to the garbage cans filled with tasty food that you have left open. If you build a 20 foot-high fence, the flies simply fly 21 feet and one inch off the ground and fly over it.
