With stocks plunging on Wall Street, tensions were rising in today’s White House press briefing as ABC’s Jake Tapper relentlessly demanded Press Secretary Jay Carney explain exactly what it is that President Obama is doing to help create new jobs. When Carney suggested Obama is urging Congress to pass legislation, Tapper got agitated and responded, “so the same stuff he was doing a couple months ago, calling on Congress to pass things?”Critics of Obama will no doubt applaud Tapper’s efforts here, yet even supporters of the President can’t fault Tapper for forcefully demanding answers.

By the way, when Mr. Claire Shipman spewed out that crap about calling on Congress to sign free trade agreements...where was Jake with the “Oh, you mean those free trade agreements Hussein OPPOSED when he was in the Senate?” or when Mr. Claire Shipman spoke about the work Hussein had put in about raising the debt limit, where was Jake with “Oh, you mean the debt limit Hussein OPPOSED in 2006 and didn’t even bother to VOTE on in 2007 and 2008?”

We have a Hussein-whipped media in the White House press corps(e).

There’s no doubt they are feverishly trying to decide whether to primary him. I just checked RealClearPolitics, and even with all the crap polls [heavily weighted to favor Dems] added in Obama is still at -6.2 approve/disapprove, with 44 approving and 50.2 disapproving. If the polling samples were accurate, Obama would be in the low thirties.

There are plenty of Dems who want him primaried. The fury of black voters will militate against it, though. Dems can’t afford to tick that big a voting block off en masse.

It’s not a crack; it’s a sign of panic. Tapper is a liberal Dem like all the other MSMers. He’s watching Obama implode and doesn’t like it. Compare it watching your favorite Olympic marathoner gorge on donuts and neglect his training day after day. After a while you might say, ‘But *how* are you going to win a gold medal?’.

You don’t ask because you hope he’ll lose. You ask in hopes of snapping him out of it.

Tapper is very left wing, but he was a big supporter of Hilary Clinton and believed that Obama’s crafty caucus strategy was a betrayal of the primary process. So his view is that Obama is an illegitimate empty suit. He is no conservative, but he also never drank the Obama Flavor-Aid either.

Thanks riri, for conveying what Tapper looked like when he posed the question. The smarter MSMers—and there are precious, *precious* few of them—are catching on to the impending electoral disaster that’s brewing, and it’s scaring them to death. We conservatives have had a rough 2.5 years, and we don’t look for it to get much better over the 1.5.

But Nov. ‘12 will be our time. It’s shaping up to be a landslide—maybe even, to use Obama’s favorite word, ‘unprecedented’.

It can’t happen soon enough.

The question was completely self serving, Tapper and ABC have taken a ratings beating, now they are supposed to prop up a disaster and put lipstick on a pig, even a skilled spinmeister like Tapper is beginning to doubt that is possible in the face of 9% unemployment, 10% market corrections, and an far left base that feels abandoned.
