The White House shot back Thursday at Rep. Paul Ryan’s (R-Wis.) claim that Republicans had called the president’s bluff in debt-ceiling negotiations. The administration issued a point-by-point rebuttal to Ryan’s op-ed yesterday in The Wall Street Journal, in which he characterized Republicans as having successfully stared down President Obama in the protracted fight over spending and the nation’s borrowing authority. Maybe the most bombastic claim Ryan made was that Republican leaders called Obama’s bluff by forcing him to accept legislation that included no revenue-raisers and raised the debt limit

Obama and the Dems had no intention of honoring anything that was done anyway, and if you’re “negotiating” from a lie in the first place, that makes life all so much easier for you...

They Forced Zero to defund and shut down All of those unelected bureaucracies in DC which contribute absolutely Nothing to Anyone but themselves.

They got the Dept. of Education/Political Indoctrination, Commerce, etc, etc, etc to all just surrender and go home.

Yessiree, they’re a Farce to be reckoned with.

They even got the FDA straightened out.

Yeah, he's a real toughie. He slapped Boehner so hard his purse strap broke. For controlling one half the GOP, which has a slight majority in one third of the federal government, the Tea Party managed to fight Obama to a standstill. It wasn't a crushing win, but, like Rocky in the original movie, the Tea Party went 15 rounds with the champ and had a draw. The fact that Obama had to fling his limp wrists at Johnny Teardrop for weeks to get a deal is hardly a gold crown of badassery.

I agree. It was certainly not the Republicans finest hour. Far from it. I would let Obama take all the credit he wants. The Dow down over 500 points today as an example. Let Obama have the credit for it.

0bamacare kicks in and it needs that revenue and more to get off the ground . Will the Senate extend the cuts ,,,, I seriously doubt it if the pubs do not take back the Senate in Nov 2012 ,,, so they will simply expire . That’s why the bamster needs to raise well over a billion in DNC & Presidential funds re-election funds .
