Mitt Romney may be largely out of sight this summer, but for Democrats, he is certainly not out of mind.
In gearing up for President Obama's re-election battle next year, party operatives have directed the bulk of their energy toward beating up on the former Massachusetts governor. With a number of strong Republicans opting not to run and some in the race failing to get traction, Romney has become a singular target for the party in power.
A review of the material the Democratic National Committee disseminates daily bears out this trend. The committee blasts out loads of emails each day -- press releases, responses, stories, research documents -- and many of them boost the president or dump on GOP congressional leaders for obstructing the presidents agenda.
But when it comes to the presidential race, the email traffic is clear: The Democrats seem to be answering Romneys strategy of taking on Obama -- rather than engaging his GOP rivals -- by returning fire largely at him alone.

If they can Bork him out of the race before New Hampshire, they’ll be doing us a favor.

Romney has run some very good ads in Pennsylvania. Obama should be worried. And, he mentions Obama in the ads. It would be great if Pennsylvania would finally vote GOP.

I can see their memos once Rick Perry gets into the race:
“Governor Perry created too many jobs in Texas, making the other states look bad...and that’s just not fair.”

Even Trump doesn’t like him. I think that Romney is the stiff he was referring to.

Romney is consistently described by the MSM as the Republican 'front-runner' so the Democrats have to attack him. The minute Mitt's polling numbers fall, he'll be ignored by the Democrats. I imagine that will coincide with Sarah Palin's candidacy announcement. Of course, if Palin runs, the MSM will publish phony polls that will inevitably show Romney beating Palin. However, if the DNC is constantly unloading on Palin (they will) that will be the best clue as to who the Democrats really fear can and will defeat Obama.

Great! Let them handle our light work... Yes, they can compare ObamaCare to RomneyCare and say the RomneyCare is not good enough for American. And thus push for more ObamaCare.
Go Left O Go. Hard Left O Go. Uncontrollably Left O and your Progressives Go! Till America is through with it and Socialism.

na... they’ll just claim they were all burger flipping jobs, just like they did when Bush was president and employment was at 4.8%

The Democrats are late to the party. Sarah Palin, Michelle Malkin and Donald Trump beat them to it.
