Yeah, well, I'm a combat veteran as well,(Vietnam 68-69) but obviously that doesn't necessitate good reading or cognitive skills.
John Brieden is a former Army Ranger and Jay Kimbrough is a Marine Corps combat veteran of Vietnam and a Purple Heart recipient. Whatever your fantasy is about "some Air Force vets coming together", hopefully I've dispelled that errant notion. As far as asking your buddies at the VFW, did you really expect them to have a clue? The boys down at my local Post and everyone I've ever visited in my travels are not too busy talking politics or the attributes of recently formed veterans groups. They're mostly about drinking, hunting, fishing, and sports, interspersed with general griping and other irrelevent BS. And for the most part, good and honorable men.
What's obvious to me is that you want a reason to diminish anything associated with Rick Perry. So be it, have at it. Just don't hide behind this BS about whether or not a veterans group meets your expectations. "Veterans for Rick Perry" is exactly what it claims to be, a group of veterans who are advocates for Rick Perry. They don't claim to be the Wounded Warrior Project, and it's disingenous of you to demand that they must be such an organization in order to be legitimate.
Many of us around here tried in vain to warn people like you folks about GW 'Bubba' Bush but you/those folks weren't having anything to to do with our warnings. Like Bush, Perry is all packaged up to look and sound like a Compassionate Conservative. Just don't bother looking any further than the gussied up pretty re-packaging lest one be disillusioned as they were with Bush Jr. after his 8 years at damaging this country. Perry is pretty much cut from the same cloth, IMHO.
You failed at trying to convince me so why bother even keep trying. There is absolutely nothing you will ever say that would change my mind unless Perry turned out to be Jesus Christ himself. You want the last word then go ahead and get it out of your system as I've nothing else to say to you on this subject. I've had my say.
