I dont think anyone will begrudge the president for celebrating his 50th birthday. Its a big milestone in life that deserves to be marked. But does he need to do it in such an extravagant and insensitive style at a time of tremendous economic turmoil when tens of millions of Americans are hurting financially and nearly one in ten are out of work? Barack Obama is not a Hollywood celebrity or corporate mogul. He is a public official, paid for by the American people, and is expected to lead the country by example.

The GOP had it all a few years back and pissed it all away with their weak weak leadership.
Proven once again, the Republicans are still as weak and wussified as they've always been during these debt talks.
We got our @$$e$ handed to us by the liberals. Some deal.
Many comparisons to today. Stupidity apparently reigns.
That looks like an NBA game!
Exactly.
And, I think the article is petty as I think everyone who thinks this is a big deal is petty.
Don't get me wrong, I hate that commie bastard. But I don't think fretting over the fact he is having a "everybody love me" event shows anything other than the fact that politicians are hedonistic narcissists.
Duh.
So is every other rich man in the world.
Obama and his adherents have more in common with the typical banana republic junta members or the chieftains of some backwards African country taking the money from minerals or humanitarian aide for their own parties and mansions. Or like the elite Party members or dictators in failed socialist countries of the past, or N.Korea today. Except that they are far more demeaning of their country (usually a leader claims to like his country and people- even while exploiting them.) The Obamas seem from the first day of the campaign to have nothing but contempt for a large part of America and indeed the US itself.
I’m thinking more like Caligula a la Guccione, with us up on the kitchen table and Barry sticking his fist in the tub of lard.
Except, sans lard.
...Great post. Have to re-read this when I’m awake...
Yes but the other rich libtards don’t have a personal aircraft paid for by YOU and the security...yours again...on and on we could go with this.
