Cindy Shivers Bryan, former mayor of New Hebron, has won the Republican primary for Mississippi House of Representatives, District 91. Bryan defeated Jimmy Barton with 54% of the both, with all precincts reporting.
Today, Bryan issued the following statement:
I am extremely honored, humbled, and thankful to God that the voters of District 91 have chosen me to face Democrat Bob Evans in the Mississippi House of Representatives election on November 8. My focus has been to end the Democrat monopoly in the House, so its full steam ahead now. With your help, we will fire 'McCoy and the Boys'!
I congratulate Jimmy Barton on a hard-fought campaign. He and his supporters should be proud of how they mobilized interest in this election. Now, I extend my hand to Jimmy and his supporters, so that we will have a united Republican Party going forward. Together we will provide District 91 with the representation it deserves.
I look forward to the fall campaign and debating Bob Evans on the issues. We have the momentum now, and people across the district are waking up to his lack of leadership.
Thank you once again to the great people of District 91. We have much to look forward to and fight for.

Take no prisons and hold no bars
Time to take over that sucker (MS House). And pad the uncomfortably slim Senate edge.
Getting rid of Dem state legs. step by step is important since they keep raising taxes, spending and regs on a local and state level. They just feed into the federal Dem leftist agenda of bankrupting the free enterprise system and forging more entitlement naifs in every locality . As it is, 50% of Americans now pay no taxes, and the rest of us support the liberal tax, spend, regs agenda whether we want to or not. Ala Ca., and the rest of the Blue States.
