If there are tax increases built into this bill, then why aren’t Reid and the Democrats bragging about them? Answer: because they aren’t there. There are no built-in tax increases.
This is just a shot across the bow, telling the Republicans that they can either vote for tax increases or the Democrats will allow the triggers to kick in. They are banking that Republicans don’t want across the board cuts on things like the military.
Don’t throw me in that briar patch.
The government will monetize the debt. You don't consider that a tax? The power of the State will only increase with this bill.
