"We've had too much talk the last few days of Republicans as early as this morning, Republican leaders in the Senate saying there will be no revenue. That's not going to happen. Otherwise, the trigger is going to kick in. The only way we can arrive at a fair arrangement for the American people with this joint committee is to have equal sharing. It's going to be painful. Each party if they do the right thing, it's going to be painful for them because to be fair, we have to move forward. There has to be equal spending cuts, there has to be some revenue that matches that," Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) said on the floor of the Senate right before voting started on the debt deal. I was just imagining Harry Reid being kicked by Trigger.
He had to pass it before he was allowed to read it.
THANK YOU - TRUER WORDS WERE NEVER SPOKEN!
The GOP gave the dems everything they wanted. Boehner & Mitchell are sell outs!!! Our only hope was for a balanced budget amendment which has the publics support by 63%!!!
In this over-spending debt crisis with our very way of life, economy and country at stake, Boehner & Mitchell completely sold us out. The table was all set for them to devour a pathetic Dem Senate & completely inept President that refused to propose ANY plan to avoid the so-called crisis.
Never mind the Dems broke the law by not putting forth a budget in 880 days for cryin out loud!!! How many people knew the Dems had BROKEN THE LAW BY NOT PUTTING FORTH A BUDGET EACH YEAR, HUH? Under these circumstances, just how hard would it be for a 10 year old to sell a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution? But good old boys, Boehner & Mitchell caved and then had the audacity to act like they did the best they could for the crisis were in because we only had control of the House. Bullsh*t!!!
Many think the knees have been cut out from under the Tea Party because we do feel betrayed by a House that was supposed to stick to its principals. Guess what? WERE JUST MORE P*SSED OFF THAN EVER AND WILL VOTE IN DROVES IN 2012!!!
