I’m not sure I understand you. Are you saying this WSJ article is an attack on Palin (™)?

Funny thing is that SP is doing another presidential candidate a favor by not referring to the Tea Party effort as a failure. For if the Tea Party failed the the Tea Party Caucus by extension failed. That means that Rep. Bachmann failed.

Best leave this one alone.

Molly Ball at Politico wrote an article about the interview that correctly described Palin’s remarks.

You really couldn’t figure that out on your own?

Go ahead and echo the lies of the PDS brigade here if you like. If Bachmann ever gains any traction or looks like a threat to win the nomination, you can expect the same treatment from them for her.

Right. You guys can't defend St. Sarah of Palin(TM), so you point to some other subject not even mentioned in an article. Dodge, indeed.

Still can't answer the question, can you?

LOL, Sarah is right. VICTORY.

I used to think people on here were intelligent. I don't pay much attention to peoples screenames, so I don't know if all the usual intelligent people are laying low or if only the dumb people are currently posting.

They should have just quietly raised the debt limit as in the past, for all the credit conservatives are getting for doing the best they could.

All this doesn't matter much. One Congress can't bind another. All this can go away in the next Congress, when we will have significant majorities in both houses and the white house.

The current Congress won't allow a lame duck Obama to let the Bush tax cuts expire.

What would you have had them do? Your expectations of what was possible isn't based in reality. Instead of progress you would have shut down 40% of the government, with OBAMA deciding who gets paid. He would be as vindictive as you could imagine. Republicans would be blamed for all of it. This would have been the end of the Republican Party at the exact time we Conservatives are finally taking it over.

One election (2010) isn't enough to correct mistakes that took decades to accumulate. Hopefully we can do it with just two (2010 & 2012) elections. When we have control of Washington, will be the time to demand drastic changes. This will be when we can actually deliver. Not now. We did the best we could and won a minor victory.

We haven't “cut” spending. Technically, by definition, no we haven't. BUT we are going to spend Trillions less than we would have. That is SOMETHING, no? Better than nothing, yes?

Rush and Harry Reid are both WRONG. Not tax increases, more spending CUTS accomplishes the same thing. Instead of increasing taxes, cut spending instead.

Rush and others are trying to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Eating our own is a recipe for disaster.

Good point. Her “caucus” didn’t really hold together so well did they? Lack of leadership I suppose.

It’s not a 100% pure genuine victory...

Most seem to be missing this sentence. If it wasn't for the Tea Party and their supporters like Sarah Palin you asses would be hurting hurt alot more than they do today. You should be thanking them (and her). What did your candidate do for the cause?

Dunno the answer. Give me some links. I don’t pay attention to the Perry threads (yet). I’m only interested in the pull-my-string-and-wind-me-up-Caribou-Barbie.

I’m saying that as the “head Palin hater” that you are creating a troll bait thread by claiming something about Palin that is not true with your thread.

Now conservative freepers will yet again have to expend time and energy dealing with another one of your troll attacks.

What’s with the hatred of SARAH PALIN at Free Republic? I figured it’d be best to ask you directly as you seem to be the head hater.

I think Rush was right, this was a 2.4 Trillion dollar stimulas package in which most of the money will funnel right back into the democratic coffers through unions to fund Obama’s relection. Is Sarah thinks this she has been duped.

OK, I'll say now what I should have said then:

I don't hate Sarah Palin. I have no reason to hate her. However, I do take strong exception to some of the more unrealistic things said on her behalf.

And if she's the nominee, I will vote for her.

I hope this clears things up.

I think she was making a mistake to suggest this is a “victory” for the Tea Party..

Some of you guys need to lighten up. She wasn't referring to the substance of the bill as a victory, she was merely agreeing with Greta, when Greta said: The Tea Party had an enormous victory because they did change the discussion here in Washington, and it is a little bit like trying to change the direction of an aircraft carrier, it's not easy

Sarah then went on to explain why the content isn't a victory and summarized by saying: Yes this is a victory because tea party patriots did shift the debate...

She's not abrogating her principles and what she said was exactly correct.

“I think she is probably just trying to spin it her way, but she is wrong on this one.”

I like her, and she has my vote if she asks for it. That said, she has been wrong before, and she is indeed dreadfully wrong on this.

The real poison in this is the Royal Congress worked into the Boehner-McConnel monstrosity. That makes the Founders’ Republic a dead letter. Abuses have occurred often, but this deliberately nullifies the fundamental structure of Congress and the whole purpose of the revolution. Only 12 or fewer states will be represented in the Royal Congress. Less than one quarter of the States.

This is the post-Constitution United States, and it is specifically founded upon future taxation without representation.

If ever there was a case for nullification or secession by the States, this is it, and applicable for all 38 states which are denied any representation, and the other twelve which will not have full representation.
