Doyle Comments On “Terrorist” Remarks (Pittsburgh Congresscritter)
KDKA ^ | 8/2/2011

PITTSBURGH (NEWSRADIO 1020 NEWS) — Tea Party “terrorists?” Democratic Congressman Mike Doyle told KDKA’s Adam Kirk Tuesday morning that he did, in fact, refer to the conservative group of Republicans as terrorists during a closed door meeting Monday with Vice President Joe Biden.

Rep. Doyle said he was expressing his frustration “that we were in this situation, that we were even, you know, negotiating this way,” said Doyle. “It’s like you’re negotiating with a terrorist, or a hostage taker.”

Had he chosen another word, like “hostage taker,” Doyle said the story would not have grown out of control, to the point where Vice President Joe Biden responded to the comment last night on CBS News. Biden denied ever having said those words, or agreeing with the phraseology.

As Jim Quinn pointed out this morning, Democrats won’t refer to an actual terrorist as a terrorist, but they don’t hesitate to apply the term to a fellow American who disagrees with them.

The Obama Administration, especially Barry, think nothing of eating their own when not in agreement....what other president would sue an American state for obeying the law? Telling the American people the must pass the Health Care Bill to find out what is in it.....scaring the folks with false statements of penury....Obama is truly and thoroughly un-American....a disgrace to this nation.

Doyle is my Congressman.

I can't stand him.

He had a challenger last election, Melissa Haluszchak, but she got creamed.

Pittsburgh is a wonderful place, but the people are highly Democrats. They are old union, steelworkers, blue-collar.

They still believe that Roosevelt brought us out of the Depression.

They still believe "Democrats are for the poor people, Republicans are for the rich people."

They will vote for this turd Doyle again and again because he's a Democrat.

I’m betting this guy has never had a negative word to say about Muslim terrorists.

I worked for Melissa’s campaign last fall against Doyle. I was stunned at how bad she lost; I truly thought the race would be closer. Goes to show you how stupid people in Pittsburgh are.

A friend of mine met with Doyle to talk about the health care bill. She asked why he wasn’t having any townhall meetings (this was in the summer of ‘09). He waved his finely-manicured hand at her & said, “Why would I want to talk to those crazies?”. She reminded him that the
“crazies” are his constituents that pay his salary. What an elitist pig.

i just called his office (Phone: 202-225-2135)....i introduced myself as “i am a Tea Party activist or as congressman doyle referred to me- a terrorist”...

i was told the congressmen did not refer to anyone as a terrorists- i offered to send this staffer the link where doyle admits as much...

i asked the staffer to please pass a message to doyle, that being- i wanted to know why he did nothing but sit on his ass during the first two years of obama’s reign of error and not demand THEN that the Bush tax cuts be rolled back or the loopholes for oil companies be closed....if the Bush tax cuts were so bad why didn’t doyle mouth off to Pelosi/Reid/Obama when left wing extremists held the cards and all the votes in the senate and congress??? why not close the loopholes for the oil companies when oil was $35/barrell and gas $1.85/gallon as it was when obama took office??

the staffer claims doyle was expressing his frustration at the president and administration over the reluctance to do this...i ended the conversation by saying- “so in essence doyle is claiming obama is the terrorist??!!”

give the congressman’s office a call...

You have very nicely (and accurately) summarized the thinking behind Pittsburgh politics here.

It almost doesn't matter how good the Republican candidate is. They are all Pavlov-trained to pull the straight-party "D" lever because "they're for the Workin' Man! And that's how my father and grandfather did it!"

The Mon Valley is full of people who are sitting around, unemployed or barely employed, looking at the empty riverbanks where a steel mill used to stand, thinking "but it could all come back again...if only we could elect the right politician!

Haluschak's campaign really had to hunt me down to sign her ballot petition for her, so few registered Republicans live in my area.

Just as two objects cannot occupy the same space two diametrically opposed views of reality cannot both be true. Eventually the tension between patriots and libtards will inevitably result in a contest for the space.

He's jealous of the Tea Party. Dems can't get a crowd together unless they pay them, bus them in with offers of free lunch and walkin' around money, or bully union goons.

Here's the latest liberal trick to get people to show up for liberal causes - community service. Yep, commit the minor crime, get a few hundred hours to work with some non-profit - and you'll be at some liberal 'march'...

You forgot one other negative. We have no real Republican party in this area either. Full of RINOS. Many of them support Doyle as they did for Murtha.

Then there’s Representative Mike Doyle, a Pennsylvania Democrat, and Vice-President Joe Biden, both of whom used war criminal rhetoric to describe a perfectly democratic House vote. Mr. Doyle did so in an interesting way: “We have negotiated with terrorists,” he said. “This small group of terrorists have made it impossible to spend any money.”

Impossible to spend money??? That's got to be nominated for stupidest quote of the yesr, although there is strong competition.

RE :”Impossible to spend money??? That's got to be nominated for stupidest quote of the yesr, although there is strong competition.

He really means ‘Impossible to spend more money’. The economy is getting worse and these liberals find it a moral duty to borrow and tax more money to provide government initiated jobs, to provide short term economic stimulus. The fact that the economy dies again when the money runs out is beyond their understanding. The fact that it robs the future in meaningless to them as they think taxing is compassion and morality.

Obama and Pelosi were out there today talkin ‘jobs, jobs, jobs NOW’. That is why they wanted this debt limit out of the way, that is all they want to talk about until the election

Doyle is saying that we are “terrorists” who are holding guns to his head to prevent him from spending money we don’t have. (He didn;t even bother to use the euphemism “investment!”) I can’t remember a crazier picture anybody has come up with.
