I EXPECT for Republicans not to vote to increase spending. Don’t give me this nonsense about not controlling all 3 houses. They did before and did nothing. They complained then that the reason they could accomplish nothing was because they needed a filibuster proof Senate. Well not only is that near impossible to achieve we know what would have happened next would be the GOP claiming certain members couldn’t vote a certain way because their states would be displeased. Then they’d say they need to control 3/4ths of each branch. What it comes down to is they want power JUST LIKE THE DEMOCRATS and have no intention of ever fullfillng their promise so as they can help.

The House controls spending. Bills originate in the House. All they had to do was not authorize an increase in spending. That’s it. That was in their power. Nevermind if the media rains Hell upon their head. They had it within their power not to have their puppet strings pulled and to take it to the people. Risky? well if you want to spend decades in Congress I suppose so but if they were men and women of principle who meant what they said about debt being unsustainable and this country on verge of financial ruin they’d have done it. And that’s why I’m furious at the freshman. They “claimed” they didn’t care of re-election but were on a mission to sve this economy....didn’t take long at all for them to adapt.

Excellent reply to “what did you hope or expect.”

I would say watch the price of gold and silver over the next month to see what the market REALLY thinks about this deal. Gold & silver goes down - good deal for the country... Gold & silver goes up - it stinks!

Exactly right. IMHO, it is really very simple. We have largely become a nation of lazy, selfish, faithless cowards, and our leadership reflects it.

One thing is certain. Government will continue to grow. Our debt will be "sustainable" until the day it isn't. In a way, it is self limiting, because we will borrow 40 cents of every dollar we spend, until no one lends us any more money. Then the spending will stop, and we will pay the piper with whatever assets we have left.

The destruction of this country is certain, was avoidable, and was caused by the majority believing in Man rather than God, and thereby losing any form of common sense. We can no longer tell the difference between up and down. The fool says in his heart there is no God. We are a nation run by fools. Comparing the likes of a Pelosi or Biden or McCain or Romney to Washington or Madison or Hamilton or Franklin illustrates how far we have fallen.
