What we do out here would work, but would mean one massive amount of public works spending and the loss of private property.

Hmmm, well, maybe each landowner could do their own property?

That new 78 inch line for a couple of cities east of Lake Travis is buried 12 or 15 feet underground. There is little above ground evidence it is even there now. Most doors are about 80” tall, so think of the amount of water it is sucking out on a daily basis.

The LCRA was going to send another 800 million gallons to San Antonio per year, but it wouldn’t have been able to do it with all the new growth here. We sure could use a pipeline that size to bring water to Texas.
