Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is reported to have accepted US President Barack Obama's plan on Monday saying he would resume peace talks based on pre-1967-lines with land swaps. The borders would change, but this would be the starting point for talks, sources said.
If true, the move is a reversal of Netanyahu's own firm position that such negotiations would be unacceptable to Israel as they could not possibly result in secure, defensible borders for the Jewish state.
It is unclear what has become of Netanyahu's other requirements for negotiations, such as PA recognition of Israel as a Jewish state, at this time.
A senior diplomatic source said that despite the agreement Israel stipulates the right to hold reservations during the talks.

Seems like picking up where he left off.
However, once you show a card in a negotiation, it’s hard to take it back and say “do over”. That’s the other way to look at this thing. Hard, but of course not impossible.
Highly improbable, to say the least. This has been the story of negotiations with Fatahamas since day 1. I’m sick of having the future of my country decided by these summer hawks/winter chickens, who then reassure me, “don’t worry. The Palis will reject this, too.”
