I think the woman featured in the article had 7 children (5 that she brought with her, and two that had gone with her husband). I am surprised that she, or any of these women, can even be fertile while they are starving. I thought that you needed a certain amount of body fat to even have a monthly cycle. Very sad.

The thing that bothers me when I read articles like this is that the populace is never held to blame for either creating or allowing that type of situation to occur in the first place nor by taking any group action to eliminate it.
That stinking “hell hole” didn’t just suddenly pop up one day. It emerged as the people let it happen. Now they pay the price for their inaction and hope the rest of the world will come over and correct it for them.
Not until THEY do something themselves, will any improvement in life occur.
