Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Muslim Brotherhood) complains about misunderstanders of Islam in U.S.
Jihad Watch ^ | 7-31-11

Posted on 07/31/2011 5:50:37 PM PDT by SJackson

"I'm not sure I understand it myself"

When Ellison speaks about people misunderstanding Islam, he doesn't mean people like Naser Abdo, the would-be second Fort Hood jihad mass murderer; or Khalid Aldawsari, the would-be jihad mass murderer in Lubbock, Texas; or Muhammad Hussain, the would-be jihad bomber in Baltimore; or Mohamed Mohamud, the would-be jihad bomber in Portland; or Nidal Hasan, the successful Fort Hood jihad mass-murderer; or Faisal Shahzad, the would-be Times Square jihad mass-murderer; or Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, the Arkansas military recruiting station jihad murderer; or Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the would-be Christmas airplane jihad bomber; or so many other jihad murderers and would-be murderers. He doesn't explain whether or not those men and others like them understand Islam properly. The people he has in mind are those who doubt, even in the face of all the evidence that these men have provided and so much more, that Islam is a Religion of Peace™.

Also, this VOA News puff piece fails to mention, not surprisingly, that Ellison accepted $13,350 from the Muslim American Society to go on a pilgrimage to Mecca.

And what is the Muslim American Society? The Muslim Brotherhood. "In recent years, the U.S. Brotherhood operated under the name Muslim American Society, according to documents and interviews. One of the nation's major Islamic groups, it was incorporated in Illinois in 1993 after a contentious debate among Brotherhood members." -- Chicago Tribune, 2004, via the Muslim Brotherhood's English-language website, Ikhwanweb.

"Congressman: Misunderstanding of Islam Continues in the US," by Karlina Amkas for VOA News, July 31 (thanks to Maxwell):

Most Muslims around the world will start the fasting month of Ramadan on Monday, August 1. In America, Muslims have been conducting a series of events to welcome the holy month of Ramadan. But, according to a U.S. Congressman, Islam still is mostly misunderstood in the United States. Keith Ellison, a member of the House of Representatives from the midwestern state of Minnesota delivered greetings on the fasting month.

Islam is still much misunderstood

Ellison took office in January, 2007, and became the first Muslim to be elected to the U.S. Congress. He was first elected in November of 2006, just five years after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. He has won re-election twice since then. [...]

Islam, Ellison acknowledged, is still much misunderstood. But, he asserts, Islam in America is not something new. Islam has been in America for 14 generations. He regrets though, that throughout the world, people treated religion as their identity and are willing to kill or die over the identity associated with religion, not the faith, but religious identity.

"If you use your religion as an identity as opposed to a path to divine, inspirations and guidance, then you are no different than Crips and Bloods [gangs]," he said. "And I want to say that I mean that."

Make this world a better place

Surveys show that about 60 percent of Americans do not understand Islam. To further introduce Islam, Ellison argued, the Muslim community in America should be much more vocal about who they really are, then take actions in their chosen field.

"If you can make a movie, make one. If you could sing a song, sing it. If you could write a play, write it. If you want to run for office - run, but do something to make this world a better place" said Ellison. "And then we don’t even have to worry about what religion we are because we [will] all be united in what we believe, which is service to humanity."...

"Service to humanity."

It's a cookbook!

Islam is very much misunderstood by the western world. To many of it’s leaders and citizens don’t have a clue just how dangers it is. Even so called moderate muslims are dangerous. I have a friend who was raised muslim, he has been a Christian for many years now. What he’s told me would make your hair stand on end. I’ve also been reading the book God’s War on Terrorism. It’s an eye opener. Basically everything that Allah is said to be and who he is, is the same description that the bible says satan is. Muslims can lie to non-muslims, they are praised for doing so.

Tell me Mr Muzzie Ellison, do you approve of Sharia law being used in the U.S. or are you a firm believer in our constitution and the current law of the land? Rhetorical question, I already know the answer.

Most Muslims around the world will start the fasting month of Ramadan on Monday, August 1.

I wish they would extend it to 90 days.

I promise that there would be no more misunderstandings in the future.

Any Muslim that tells you it’s a religion of peace, is either A) Practicing Taqqiya, or B) Is an apostate.

A coworker just told me she has muslim friends. I asked her to find out in the koran were does it mention “peace”? She screamed at me “of course it does!” So I asked her to show me the pages it is on, and I will forever be thankful. Being a little smart@ss, I said slyly, please! Will get back with the verses, or do you know were it is written? n/s

The word is there, as you will shortly remember. The context is not terribly meaningful (no surprise) but the word is there. In Sura XLVII, we have: "Be not fainthearted then; and invite not the infidels to peace when ye have the upper hand", in Sura LIX, "He is God beside whom there is no god: He is the King, the Holy, the Peaceful, the Faithful, the Guardian, the Mighty, the Strong, the Most High!", and Sura XLIX, "Only the faithful are brethren; wherefore make peace between your brethren". There are other usages but the most common usage (that will make you say, "Oh, yeah, I knew that") is: “Peace be upon thee.” “Peace be on Noah throughout the worlds!” “PEACE BE ON ABRAHAM!” “PEACE BE ON MOSES AND AARON.” “PEACE BE ON ELIASIN!” "And peace be on his Apostles!" [Upper case in my translation of the Koran - one should understand those who want to murder you and your sons and then enslave your wife and daughters!]

Peace be upon any and all followers of Islam who support terrorism, may they rest in peace . . . soon!

Herman Cain hit the nail on the head last Sunday on Fox News Sunday, I just wish he hadn’t apologized, it wasn’t necessary.

Something I think everyone should consider. Every religion has it’s nut jobs, Terry Jones, Warren Jeffs, Fred F***-Face Phelps (think you can figure out what the stars stand for) ect… Now let’s look at islam, bi-laden was not just an isolated nut job, there are hundreds of thousands if not a million or more muslims that are radical. I’m sure there are moderate muslims but they will only be moderate until the radicals take over. And the moderates will stand quietly by.

Islam is not a religion nor is it a cult. It is a complete system.

Islam has religious, legal, political, economic and military components. The religious component is a beard for all the other components.

Islamization occurs when there are sufficient Muslims in a country to agitate for their so-called "religious rights."

“Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Muslim Brotherhood) complains about misunderstanders of Islam in U.S.”

Unless he is complaining there are too FEW ‘misunderstanders’ he is a liar. But as a practicing Muslim Islamist he IS a liar, so who cares what he has to say?

If Americsns did understand, we would be even more afraid. Not all Muslim sects are warlike but the militants have enormous energy right now. They are the bullies who control the playground.

We should bomb them at night. "Hussein pass the" (BOOM!)

They would have no problem with bombing us on Christmas, Ramadan is a whole month!
