What appeared in the Navy Times was a short article saying the decision to strip Sanders of his Silver Star had nothing to do with his 2009 child-pornography conviction. The paper quoted the Navy as citing the reason as “subsequently determined facts and evidence surrounding both the incident for which the award was made and processing of the award itself.”

The little that I've read in the leftist press never mentioned this. They let it seem that the Silver Star was stripped due to the child-porn conviction. Did Kerry get his S S for the same or a different incident?

Did Kerry get his S S for the same or a different incident? Different as far as I know. I don't recall Sanders' name ever having been mentioned in references to the action which served as the basis for his (Kerry's) SS. Not sure if Sanders was even in the same unit as Kerry or, if so, when.

It's the best they have. In fact, Kerry's long-time pal seems to have been a purveyor of child pornography who also managed to wrangle himself a fraudulent Silver Star in the early 1990's.

No. Sanders and Kerry trained together at Coronado, but it doesn't appear that they participated in the same missions in Vietnam. Kerry was transferred from his original assignment in Coastal Division 13 to Coastal Division 11 (where he acquired his own Bronze and Silver stars) after just a few weeks.
