I've thought I was dumb because the latest version of IE is so difficult for me to use.
i’ve used firefox for years, altho’ i have ie and chrome available.
the latest editions of firefox 5 and 6 do not properly install.
opening a second window results in a window with two task bars and no google to type into.
fragments of previous windows remain on the desktop.
previous editions of firefox did not do this.
Thanks for a feel good story. I have never used IE. I’ve even tried to have it removed from my computer, but people technically more advanced that I am have said they couldn’t do that. I use Firefox. No complaints.
I was an IE user for years.
The first step was admitting that I had a problem.
IE is evil lol
You must be smarter than most of us then. *shakes head*.
What if you’re using Mozilla Firebird 0.7?
Right....
Just like the studies that show FoxNews and Rush listeners are more stupid than the enlightened.
IE is the most commonly used browser so you’ll find all kinds of users using it.
Internet Explorer 9 is now available for Windows 7 users.
It’s great. Check it out:

Can’t be any dumber than people who use AOL as I.S.P.
With Internet Explorer you usually see the most stability, with Firefox speed and some new features and Chrome with spying on you (lol).
These always change when new versions are released.
Obammy uses IE.....just saying...
Been a Firefox user for years, and currently run the latest version on all my computers, except this one. I also use the IE Tab 2 addon when visiting sites that display correctly only with Internet Explorer.
(For those who don’t know, IE Tab 2 allows you to switch to the IE rendering engine, effectively running IE from within Firefox.)

One common problem with “studies” is the prescence of “confounding variables” that have not been accounted for. I skimmed the article and ran across the following:
The results would look very different if one labelled the browsers not by name but by date. IE6 which has the worst IQ performance is now a very outdated browser and IE7 is also out of date. Chrome, is well up to date and users of IE who also use Chrome Frame are in the top group which tends to confirm the idea that users who take the trouble to upgrade their browsing experience are brighter than those who put up with a below par browsing experience.
My next purchase may be a state of the art tablet. But I will also keep hold of my old Apple IBook running the ancient system 9, even if I have to buy another through EBay. I run system 9 because it runs system 9 applications that Apple orphaned. (Don't try to "educate" me on this, I've been through this before, and there's lots you don't know.) So, with new and ancient browsers, will I be "smart" or "dumb?"

The IQ survey may be correct, but the need to use “the very best and most advanced” browser IS NOT a burning necessity for the vast majority of users.
The majority of users have a consistent and limited array of browsing requirements that the “middle best”, like a Firefox, is “best suited for them” and still better than IE. That is well good enough for most people.
The geniuses can spend their time with “more advanced” browsers, and unlike most of us they probably have the time to play with them.
I’m pure dummy material, still using the upgraded version of Netscape called Sea Monkey.
I'm not a fan of Google (hate their politics), but the product is good. And Gmail is easy to use.
The funny thing is, most developers like me, develop on Firefox despite the massive memory leak and make exceptions in code for IE. It’s funny because IE is by far the most used browser. I personally prefer Safari for browsing.
Instead it was the ones who can't figure out when to use capital letters, so they don't use any.
Also the ones who don't know the proper usage of that, than and then and the lowest of IQ's are the ones who support big leftists when they "Google it".
