enate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi are heading to the White House Saturday to strategize on the debt ceiling, after a tough day of discovering Reids plan is several votes shy of overcoming a Republican filibuster in the Senate and watching the measure go down in defeat in the House.
In a letter to Reid, 43 Senate Republicans vowed to block his latest debt-ceiling plan assuring Reid will fall short of capturing the 60 votes needed in a vote scheduled for Sunday at 1 a.m.

Obama is a sure bet no matter what happens to carry MA.
Although you never know...MA voted for Reagan in 1984.
Sad day when the Cow won up in Alaska...hope she wallows in misery when the GOP takes over the senate and needs her like a Moose needs a hat rack. Meanwhile, Snowe and Collins, what could one expect from the gruesome twosome. Brown is history next election anyway no matter what he does.

Not only filibustered in the Senate, but failed to pass in the house. Bad day for the Demwits. I think they thought they had a lock on this bill and that the Republicans would cave and accept it. This has been their plan all along. Now, the Bozo will have to think of some other devious way to blame it all on the Tea Party caucus.
Just ask them this: "Why is it, that though there are quite a few RINO's--in both Chambers--(and explain that this means someone who REGULARLY 'crosses the aisle' and votes against the best interest of their party and supports the opposition)--i.e., votes with Demo-Rats--there are NO (NOT EVEN ONE) DINO?"
And don't let them try and pass Lieberman off as one, cuz he ain't.
Then when they can't come up with any names, hit them with: "Well, so much for "Bi-Partisanship, right?
Is this supposed to be sarcasm? Because you’re scaring the pee out of me!
Brown will win, and by 5%+..you forget that Mass has a habi of voting for Dems statewide...Weld and Mitt come to mind..Brown will NOT vote for the Reid bill..
Good fix from this side of the swamp.
Why not vote on the House Bill you have tabled, you know, the one with CC&B
Hey Dingy Harry, at least Boehner can get something through his OWN HOUSE.
Diaper man Harry Reid and plastic face Nancy Pelosi are going to confer with mac, the crybaby liar, daddy about what is in HIS a secret plan.
When they get a look at it it will say, “I vote Present”, because Mac, the crybaby liar, daddy has no plan, never did, never will because then HE would own it and HE could not handle being rejected.
He has a tough time being around people who are less than perfect like HIM.
