"The Undefeated" is not about Sarah Palin
it is about YOU My boyfriend Justin and I drove up to Milwaukee to see The Undefeated on Wednesday. Its hard to get Justin to anything politically-related because he bores very easily, especially if charts and graphs pop up and someone starts talking about energy resource development or the minutia of legislative maneuvers in various states. Justin likes playing World of Warcraft, listening to music on his iPhone, and screwing around on Facebook. But, Justin supports Governor Sarah Palin very much, though he knows shockingly little about her or her time as Governor of Alaska. I had to trick him into seeing The Undefeated, however, because the movies not playing in Chicago and the closest theater showing it was at a mall in Waukesha, about two hours away from us. There is, however, a spy-themed restaurant in downtown Milwaukee that requires a secret password to get in and has waitstaff who role-play like its a Cold War safe house
so getting Justin psyched for a road trip to eat there easily included a stop at the Mayfield Mall to see The Undefeated, since of course I timed our trip to get us to Wisconsin while the Safe House was closed between lunch and dinner shifts. You betcha. The theater was quite full for the middle of the afternoon on a Wednesday. Peeking in other movies that were playing, The Undefeated had as many people watching it as Transformers, Horrible Bosses, Bridesmaids, and other Hollywood films did. The difference was that in The Undefeated the audience didnt just sit there staring at a giant screen absorbing loud explosions and silently taking in special effects. In The Undefeated, audiences were cheering Governor Palins political speeches and thinking about what they could do to defeat both the Left and the Cocktail Party GOP establishment in their own ways, following the example of a small town hockey mom who decided one day to do just that on her own. The Undefeated is nominally a documentary about Governor Sarah Palin, but its really about YOU. Justin was glued to the screen throughout the whole movie, which Ive never seen happen. He didnt update his Facebook or text message once during the screening, which is something Ive never seen happen before. He asked me a lot of questions during the movie, about who different people like Andrew Breitbart and Tammy Bruce were. He had no idea who Meg Stapleton or Thomas Van Flein were, but came away from the film admiring them. The movie held his attention and really made Justin think about how terrible the GOP Cocktail Party establishment really is and how much those fools enable the Left to destroy our country. I have no idea what the films director intended when he set out to make this movie, but this is the impact The Undefeated had on Justin. For me, it was the shot of adrenaline I needed to rev me up to do everything I can for Governor Palins presidential campaign, because I believe she is truly the best hope we have of rescuing this country from the Left and putting America back on the right track again. Whenever I hear Governor Palin speak, I think about being back in grade school learning about various historical figures who were there in moments when America needed them most. Some are fictional, like Johnny Tremain, from a novel that inspired a younger me to wonder what I would have done if I was alive during the American Revolution. The nuns who taught me in Catholic School had a lot of very creative lesson plans, so our classes were forever putting on skits or reading creative writing essays assigned to us where we had to imagine being Harriet Tubman, Susan B. Anthony, Mercy Otis Warren, Martin Luther King Jr., or other determined, passionate, American heroes. Just as these people rose to the challenges of their times and stood formidably in Americas corner when needed, so does Governor Palin. We are in a period of immense crisis, when America is very truly being attacked from three clear sides: the Left, which wants to destroy the country as we know it and transform the United States into a third world heap; the Cocktail Party GOP establishment, whose genetic stupidity and obsession with media-attention and false-praise commit these self-centered fools to do the Lefts bidding as often as possible, regardless of the detrimental effects on our country; and external forces like George Soros, who in James Bond villain-style just want to watch the world burn, for the fun of it. After seeing The Undefeated, Justin couldnt believe how many times Governor Palin called the Left out for what its doing to America. He cheered every time the Governor was shown taking on the GOP Cocktail Party establishment. Though the film didnt mention Soros specifically, it did briefly address the September 2008 Lehman Brothers financial meltdown Soros engineered as an October Surprise to secure the election for Obama. Justin knew Soros was behind this and asked why no one in the media or the Republican ranks has ever talked about what really happened that September and how people like Soros were involved. Justin still doesnt understand the media is 100% in the tank for the Left, and works aggressively to push the Lefts agenda. He also doesnt fully understand why the Cocktail Party GOP establishment behaves the way it does, or why its pushing limp, soggy sandwiches like Mittens Romney or Tim Pawlenty for the 2012 presidential nomination
with the medias great assistance. Why does the media want Mittens to be the nominee so badly and why do Republicans let the media pick their candidates, when the media wants Democrats to win? Justin asked in the car on the way to dinner. Because the Cocktail Party GOP establishment doesnt care about winning elections, and in many cases is happier losing. Losing means they dont need a plan for when the election is over and they dont have to take on the responsibility of fixing the problems were facing. They can just have their cocktail parties and fundraisers, wear nice suits and look important, and court the medias fawning adoration by signing up for anything labeled bipartisan no matter how much whatever this is hurts the country, I explained to him. Why do people let the Cocktail Party get away with this? Justin asked. I have never been able to answer this, because I have never and will never understand it. But Justins an example of someone who only nominally pays attention to the news and who thinks most political discussions are boring. He also forever believes that someone else is taking care of whatever needs to be taken care of, so he doesnt need to worry about it. He assumes that Republicans and Democrats are different, and that if the Democrats are doing something bad that Republicans will stop them because thats what Republicans are there for. Justin has not spent much time at all looking at what the Cocktail Party GOP establishment is really all about or how it conducts itself in power. I doubt many people who dont read political sites all day, every day, have taken the time to really ponder this. By watching what Governor Palin has faced through the years going up against the Cocktail Party GOP establishment, and enduring the full-bore attacks from the Left since 2008, its very clear just how difficult fighting these anti-American villains really is at the end of the day. Look at all the battles Governor Palin has engaged in
and won
never losing her fighting spirit because she loves this country so much. You cant watch her in The Undefeated without feeling her patriotism wash over you, to inspire you to get up out of your seat and do whatever you can for the Resistance too. While theres nothing in the movie that supporters of Governor Palin dont already know (if they have read Going Rogue and have been following her closely on Facebook), seeing her story up on the screen and hearing her words through the years as she consistently took on the Left and the Cocktail Party GOP establishment in equal measure really is inspiring on a personal level. If this hockey mom from a small town could do it
then so can you. Maybe you arent going to become a mayor or a natural resources commissioner or a governor or a presidential candidate yourself, but theres no reason you cant do SOMETHING in your own way to drive the Left nuts and rattle the Cocktail Party GOP establishment. Just like Governor Palin did, starting back to when she was a private citizen like the rest of us
and continuing into her post-governorship role as a private citizen again. Two days after seeing the movie, Justin is still asking questions about what he saw up on the screen. He wants to know about all the bad things the Cocktail Party GOP establishment does and why Republican voters tolerate that garbage. I have never seen Justin this tuned-in regarding politics. Its amazing, actually. So while The Undefeated is not perfect, and its clear it was put together on a very limited budget, its a marvelous success in that it truly does inspire viewers to think about what THEY too can do to help America the way Governor Palin consistently has. At its heart, the movies not about Sarah Palin
but it really is about YOU and what YOU feel when you see the Governor on the screen, hear her words ring loudly and clearly, and hopefully answer her call to get involved and join the Resistance too. See this movie however and wherever you can
and take as many Justins of your own with you too!Posted on July 29, 2011 by Kevin DuJan //

Sounds like DU around here sometimes.
If you don’t have anything nice to say, why join the thread?
Who do you support?
Or should I have responded that way to the poster you were responding to?
:D
It really baffles me how quick we start the circular firing squads against our own candidates.
What’s not nice about asking a question? You did - so join the not nice crowd.
Who do you support? Whiners?
Palin! :D
Your turn.
Still waiting for your candidate.
Give it up...
I think it’s quite obvious who I support by my question to mr. empty seat/suit.
Roger.
Lurk mode back on.
52 per screen average attendance. This means 1/5 to 1/4 capacity. Somebody somewhere had a sell out on opening day. Good for that theater! Nationally though in it's opening week "The Undefeated" was defeated at the box office by such heavily advertised movies as, "Snow Flower and the Secret Fan", "Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Travels of a Tribe Called Quest" and "Turtle: The Incredible Journey".
I didn’t see it. It didn’t play in my town.
Now before you go off with a variation on, “Ohhhhhhh you’re judging it and you haven’t even seen it” you might double check and see that I made no judgment of the film itself. My comments were restricted to it’s box office performance. You don’t need to see a movie to read it’s financial data.
I will defer to you since I don’t have a clue what I am talking about and you seem to throw the right kind of words in the mix. {:-)
Don’t know how far it is but it is playing in Charleston link at http://conservatives4palin.com/2011/07/undefeated-week-3-open-thread.html
