Citizens can still embrace individualism and liberty. The defect is with the government, the people are free to reject the government.


Many do, but the government is making it increasingly difficult to pursue life liberty and pursuit of happiness. I had really hoped the funded deficit would be addressed this week; it was not. What is happening now in Senate is reminiscent of Obamacare. The government does not care what the citizens think. They are there to serve themselves and help themselves.

The country is not going to survive this debt if it is ignored much longer, and what I saw today was another kick of the can down the road :(

Yes. And the people can adopt the same attitude toward the government.

I think the country will be fine, when the federal government collapses of its own weight and corruption.
