An underground gay group in the military wants recruiters to reach out to the gay community in the same way they target blacks, Hispanics and women.
The Pentagons ban on openly gays members is due to be lifted Sept. 20, meaning avowed gay people can sign up, those in the ranks can come out of the closet and the military will no longer discharge personnel because of sexual preference.
What is unclear is the number of post-ban policies that might be adopted to meet the demands of gays and ease integration of different sexual identities.
The group OutServe, which claims more than 4,000 gay and lesbian military members worldwide, plans a coming-out party, of sorts, in Las Vegas in October.
The group has invited Defense Department officials to attend an OutServe Armed Forces Leadership Conference and expects hundreds of military personnel to attend.
J.D. Smith, an active-duty Air Force officer who founded OutServe, said the military should think of gays when recruiting. J.D. Smith is an alias he uses because the ban is still in effect.
Absolutely, we endorse the DoD advertising recruiting for the gay community, just as they would any other community, he said in an email exchange with The Washington Times. The DoD regularly attends public events to recruit, and we believe they should be at Pride events next year around the country to let the gay community know the opportunities to serve their nation.

“Homosexuality is clearly the result of God abandoning these perverts’ souls to Satan.”
Homosexuality is the result of those souls abandoning God.
It should be easy to recruit now; tell them they can meet 14 year-old boys from all over the world! It’s like an armed NAMBLA...
Reach out and touch someone. Nice thought, but I wouldn’t try it on a DI in boot camp.
Yet another of the great accomplishments by the current resident in the White Hut!
In today’s boot camp you can get away with anything!
This is the logical progression at work. Quotas of homosexuals in the officer corps and the NCO ranks will come also. In the meantime the military will be working toward eliminating the Troop as far as possible. This will be an urgent spur to total mechanization and eloctronicization(it’s a word! look it up in Webster’s Fifth International) of the military. I am not so sure that we want that world so soon but we will get it. The military does solve its problems. The follow-on is that the SWATS and police forces, starting with the many Fed LEOs and agencies with guns will get all the new military mech & elec stuff just a little later. It all advances total control of society just a little more. We are moving fast toward an
algorithmarchy(see Webster’s Sixth).
Affirmative Action for Command and the officer corps and the NCOs will soon follow, much sooner than there are sufficient “qualified” candidates. This military is going to decline faster than ever it did under Clinton or even Carter. Out of this will possibly come two militaries, an overt one with the remaining personnel that is homosexualized and suitable for parades and inspections and an effective military that is totally technologized. In that one the homosexual content will not be a problem. I suspect this will be a spur to orbiting pinpoint missiles and such things as that.
They want you, they want you
They want you as a new recruit
The recruiters should tell the “underground gay group” to go find there own faggots.
I’m wondering if this country will ever win another war.
Here’s some great recruiting slogans:
“Join the Army, and we’ll throw you a boot party!”
“Airborne. We’ll pack your parachute for you!”
“Join the Navy, and learn how to swim!”
“Marines. Don’t even think about it, you fruit!”
Obamalini may well be “bi”, with a preference for men. The apparent lack of old “flames” of the female variety i a very strange thing....of course, so was marrying the lovely Michele.
Choosing homosexual behavior is a moral issue
The Army is dying
I remember reading an Ann Landers (or was it Dear Abby?) column one time in which a reader asked about bi-sexuality. Ann replied that there really is no such thing. Presented with a choice of a man or a woman, the "bi" will always (always!) choose their own sex. Lesson: they are homosexuals.
Unckie Sammy Wants You, and I mean he really WANTS you.
20 years ago: Gee, homosexuals only want to serve, so don’t ask, don’t tell.
Today: Gee, homosexuals only want to serve openly, so suck it up bigot.
Slippery slope, these perversions are never satified.
Tomorrow: Destroy those who reject homosexuality as normal.
Several extended family members are currently in the military and here is what I am hearing re this DADT repeal.
The brass have their hands full with incidents of what the troops call “attitude adjustment meetings), or “midnight counseling sessions” meant to advise troops who don’t fit in or harbor the necessary image of a trained fighting man.
It seems those who have decided to “come out” and who have been previously unknown to have been gay are having big problems with their motor skills and keep running into doors and falling down stairs. Of course these soldiers are reporting they are being physically abused by anti gays in the ranks but have not been able to supply witnesses.
What is happening was predicted and clearly seen by anyone who served anytime in the military. The ranks have always hd their own form of justice and made their own rules, a sort of “shadow” UCMJ (Universal Code OF Military Justice).
A known gay will not be allowed in the shower while a straight is in there and of course no straight will go in if a gay is present. The gays are being told they should shower at a time which causes the least inconvenience for the rest of the troops normally in the very early morning, say about 3 AM or so. There is none of the normal horseplay between a gay and straight soldier since most hetero soldiers if not all find it abhorrent to have a gay touch them.
The bottom line is this repeal of DADT rather then making it easier for the gays in the military will make it far worse and they are and will continue to be segregated into small groups which are left to socialize among their own kind. One of the unintended consequences of the repeal of DAT is where before a gay soldier who was unhappy simply had to announce he was gay and he would get an honorable discharge and go about his merry way. However now that being an openly gay soldier is permitted they no longer have this option and are stuck with serving the full term of their enlistment contract.
It is not working out for them as they believed it would and if anything has further ostracized them within the ranks.
