The mask is slipping form the DC Political media machine. The truth is coming out. This is why Progressive Facists in the 0-bot media are in hysteria today
The big DC political machine lie of this whole thing is the GOP needs a bill.
NO, the 0 Democrats need a bill. They are the party of spend. They are the ones who have to go to the voters in 2012 and defend their total mishandling of the economy for the last 4 years.
The GOP candidate in 2012 is going to be running against DC. The 2012 election will be a referendum on 0s Presidency.
Time for people to quit buying the propaganda fed them by the DNC Media-Political machine, the 0 Dems, not the GOP, will be hurt the worst by a failure to strike a deal.
Here what you do GOP, you tell the Senate Sorry but all your Debt bills are D.O.A. CCB was the compromise, if you want a bill, there it is..

So if this goes the way everything else Obozo has touched then the fuel consumption of cars will get worse instead of better.
It’s like this guy is living in opposite land or bizzaro world.
He’s the biggest loser. Just wish we could say goodbye and kick him off the show.

This will require the gas tax to double, of course.

A dumbass, Chicago community organizer has figured out how to get 54.5 miles per gallon?! Outstanding! I wonder how much THIS is going to cost us. BTW: Isn’t this admitting that the community organizer doesn’t have much “hope” for GM’s Voltswagen and other “electric” cars?

That would save $8,000 in fuel costs over the life of a vehicle, he said... I'll bet meeting this new standard will add more than $8,000 to the cost of a vehicle.

And the “logic” is the increased cost of the cars will be offset by the fuel economy. So, why stop at 54.5, why not demand 100 mpg?
So what if a Focus costs $90k.
Let them eat cake.

Ushering in the largest decrease in auto fuel consumption since the 1970s, President Barack Obama and automobile manufacturers Friday announced a deal that will save drivers money at the pump and dramatically cut heat-trapping gases coming from tailpipes.First, this sentence is nothing but cheerleading prose from the media.
Second, they do not tell you that it will add $10,000 to the price of an automobile. So, you will save money at the pump, but lose money overall because it is more than offset by an increase in the price of the vehicle!
To: WOBBLY BOB
Well, if all those new cars are using that much less, then there will be lots of gas left over. Prices will go down, right?
Supply and demand, right?
