WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama says there are multiple ways to resolve the debt ceiling mess, but it has to be bipartisan and it has to happen fast.

The president urged Democrats and Republicans in the Senate Friday to come together on a plan that can pass the House and that he can sign.

This whole thing makes me sick. There is no common sense anywhere. There is no correct thinking. It’s just a giant chess game.. us against them...and we are all the losers. They don’t suffer any of the consequences. They still get their paycheck and all the freebies on the back of taxpayers. They don’t have to participate in the nasty bills they pass.. So there’s no plan that’s out there, by any of these people who are saying this, that has any sort of chance of passing both houses and getting signed by the president
