Basically goes on to call the tea party opposition schizophrenia.. Him and Laura bash the tea party.
I think you are all missing the point. The economics of the US and the world have become so complex with so much being hidden that no one knows what to do about fixing it. Bullet points and essays are fine but are like trying to diagnose a sick person by examining in detail one toenail. In such situations, collapse is inevitable. West, et al, are of course confused. Who isn’t? We are now at the point of a collapse coming with no idea what comes next. The collapse might be this year; it might come in 2041. That’s just a detail.
Apparently people in Boonville, NY don't have the slightest clue what strategy is required for politics. It's a chess game.....and we're playing as we speak. I will also say, by the hysterics from you and others on this thread.....the dems are winning.
Good, we will see who on our side and who isn’t.
He shouldn't be associating with evil people.
ON principle, I wish I could fly. However, I know that in reality, I cannot. That’s why, on principle, I don’t jump off the cliff hoping that this time I’ll actually be able to fly.
Principles are what guide your decision-making. They aren’t a replacement for decision-making. On principle, I drive on the correct side of the road. If someone swerves into my lane, I could stand on principle and crash. But I choose to violate my principles and swerve out of the lane. SOme here would argue that this makes me a hypocrit, I say it makes me a human being with God-given ability to reason.
I’ve seen children who have strong principles. They know exactly what they want, and will throw a temper tantrum to get it. What they lack is the ability to temper those principles to reality.
Put a roomful of people who live by principle together, and nothing happens, because none will budge one iota to reach consensus. Consensus is an evil word made up by people who actually want to get things done, rather than wanting to be able to blame others when things go wrong.
Urkel, by Law, must pay the interest on the debt and redeem any expiring bills, bonds or notes. He does not need to come to Congress for authority to do so and has already been directed by past Congresses to do just that.
So far the GOP has weakened Urkel by its stance and I support that. There is no real agreement on much even within the GOP beyond generalities. How much is a “real” cut? Is a BBA non-negotiable?
Honorable men can have differing opinions on such questions.
And no one is going to convince me that either Sowell or West are anything but honorable men or that they are abject fools, craven cowards or crooks.
There is way too much of a tendency here to turn on even heroes and treat them like they are actual RATs.
This is very simple, we cannot continue to go into debt.
The Teaparty represents the Middle Class, who are being crushed by this debt.
The Democrats represent the welfare class, the GOP, the financial elites, who represents the taxpayers?
The TeaParty must resist every attempt to raise the debt ceiling.
Let them pass it without them and we will see the GOP again in Nov.
He wanted to see if a socialist, black only club would let a conservative, black military man join. They had no choice......it was great.
“You are pretty arrogant and dismissive for someone who doesnt really sound like he knows what hes talking about.”
Have you read what you have written? Not too hard to be dismissive..
A. Do you REALLY believe the Senate can gain cloture on a Reid bill? Really?
B. So then you believe REALLY believe that beyond that, Boner is going to go against the majority of his party (the ones that vote for his speakership) and pass a Reid bill? REALLY?
Seriously, get a clue.
Extremely well said.
We did not win the House to wait for the next election.
Why is Obamacare still being funded?
We see how hard the GOP fought in Wis.
The GOP in Congress needs to do the same.
If the American People want to destroy itself with debt, they can vote the Democrats back in, but at least we tried to do the right thing.
We need to fight the battles in front of us, not wait for the next one.
Clearly, by your examples of children, you have no idea what it means to operate on principle.
You are confusing stubbornness with acting on Principle.
What do you know about strategy? Oh I see, join the other side.. Great strategy loser..
“what strategy is required for politics”
That’s the problem, you are playing politics, we are trying to save your ass..
Acting on principle (and I am assuming the correct principle) means acting on truth, and you don't compromise the truth.
People without principle can always find excuses to compromise.
I know enough to not use a latin phrase in my bio that leads to my hometown......;)
"The principle of spending money to be paid by posterity, under the name of funding, is but swindling futurity on a large scale."--Thomas Jefferson
It has nothing to do with what one wishes, it has to do with what is right!
A principle is a truth that guides your decisions, not something you surrender because of expediency.
Who cares? You think I worry about people knowing where I live? I am proud of where I live. I don’t hide like your ilk..
