Recruiters pressed to reach out to gays once ban is lifted
The Washington Times ^ | 7/28/11 | Rowan Scarborough -

An underground gay group in the military wants recruiters to reach out to the gay community in the same way they target blacks, Hispanics and women.

The Pentagon’s ban on openly gays members is due to be lifted Sept. 20, meaning avowed gay people can sign up, those in the ranks can come out of the closet and the military will no longer discharge personnel because of sexual preference.

What is unclear is the number of post-ban policies that might be adopted to meet the demands of gays and ease integration of different sexual identities.

The group OutServe, which claims more than 4,000 gay and lesbian military members worldwide, plans a “coming-out party,” of sorts, in Las Vegas in October.

The group has invited Defense Department officials to attend an OutServe Armed Forces Leadership Conference and expects hundreds of military personnel to attend.

J.D. Smith, an active-duty Air Force officer who founded OutServe, said the military should think of gays when recruiting. “J.D. Smith” is an alias he uses because the ban is still in effect.

Repealing DADT was never about “letting Gay soldiers serve proudly.” It is about changing and neutering the military. Now gay soldiers are being recruited? Wait until you have gay barracks, gay pride parades, gay clubs in the military.

So, if you get AIDS while in the military, it will be covered by the VA.

This whole ga-ga movement to create a gay-transparent military is a great opportunity: Set up homo clubs; take names on who signs up or comes out; wait for Congress to finish turning over. Then discharge every last one.

"Wait until you have gay barracks, gay pride parades, gay clubs in the military."

I have this nightmare of a commander and his first sergeant skipping along, holding hands and gazing longingly into each other's eyes.

Lost in all this is the basic question: Will this decision make the military more effective in its operations or less effective? No, the decision is being made for reasons of inclusiveness and fairness, which is what a country in decline does.

Conscript them as a group and send them out to rape the enema as a biological warfare tactic.

One day in the future, after the Red Chinese defeat the U.S. in the next big war, the same morons who rammed the DODT repeal down the military’s throat will sit back and wonder what happened.

This is not going to end well. I guarantee. Once gay. GI’s are given protected class status by the services wolf packing is not far away and it will be shoved under the carpet and it will be a career breaker for an officer to vigorous peruse rooting it out via judicial and non judicial means. The Navy fought a long and deliberated unwritten battle with this plague when the modern steel navy was being created. The rot of thing tolerated if not blatant in the old sailing navy could not be tolerated in the steel navy with it’s much larger ship companies and a much bigger personnel base. Even so it remained a significant problem at least through World War One. A queer cabal led to a near mutiny on the old USS Pittsburgh in 1917. The leaders were put aboard the USS Cyclops for return to Norfolk for court marshal. The Cyclops, of course, disappeared in one of the great mysteries of the USN. So the court proceedings never took place. This rot of thing is going to come comeback with a vengeance just as the services are facing very big budget reductions. Not good times for the military for sure
