The day after the Republican senator bashed his own party, knocking "Hobbit" Tea Partiers, the Hardball anchor on Thursday lauded him as "great" and even suggested McCain as a MSNBC guest host: "...He can substitute for me some night with that kind of talk!" The former GOP presidential nominee criticized 2010 Senate candidates Christine O'Donnell and Sharron Angle. Quoting from a Wall Street Journal editorial, McCain recited possible debt ceiling scenarios: "Then Democrats would have no choice but to pass a balanced budget amendment and reform

I think John McCain really wishes he were the only republican in Washington DC and wouldn’t be forced to deal with those uppity conservatives.
Its so much easier to play with his friends across the aisle.

He still wouldn't vote for him over any other even slightly more liberal democrat. Ann Coulter was right, they will praise you until they don't need you. I would like to think despite McCain's foolishness, he knows that but it doesn't change the fact what kind of backstabbers people in the media are. We conservatives will call you right on a given issues and still make it plain we would never vote for you.

The only time McCain gets positive press is when he back-stabs his own party. He gets positive press alot.

Republicans still don’t understand that he is seated in the other “aisle”. He is no Republican.
And to think that he once ran as a Republican candidate for POTUS. The GOP should have its head examined (and so should AZ).

The media pulled out all of McCain’s feathers, and he runs to them for warmth.

many have wondered if mccain was mentally damaged in nam.Sometimes I think he appeased the Vietnamese Communists in order to get better treatment and it is a habit he can't break now. That is why he supports the neo Communist Democrats across the aisle.
Incidentally, when Jerimiah Denton was a U.S. Senator, that Republican never behaved in such a craven fashion as McCain and he was tortured horrifically.
