Environazis are at it again. This time they are the elites in England denouncing the Beckhams as a bad role model for families. Their crime? Having another baby .gasp!!
UK Green MP, Caroline Lucas, has joined other leading environmentalists in calling for the smashing of what TV zoologist Sir David Attenborough has called the "absurd taboo" in discussing family size in the UK.
Lucas said:
"We need to have a far greater public debate about population, whether it focuses on improving family planning or reducing global inequality and looking again at how we address the strain on our natural resources.Yes, let us have an open and honest discussion about this issue. Are these elites aware of what the most popular baby name in England is now? Here is a hint, it begins with an "M", ends with "ohammed".The absence of an open and honest discussion about this issue means most people don't give much thought to the scale of global population growth in recent years. In 1930, just one or two generations ago, the world's population stood at around two billion. Today it is around seven billion, and by 2050 it is projected to rise by a third to 9 billion.
In this absurd piece, these ignoramuses criticize the Beckhams, who can well afford to have as many kids as they wish. Yet no mention of the huge influx of unassimilated Muslims ripe for radicalization, from third world countries, many with multiple wives who go on welfare or benefits as they call it, with a dozen kids a piece. What do these "green" geniuses think the "carbon footprint" of these Dark Age families are? How much do they cost the British welfare system? CRICKETS.

The Beckhams should ask the environazis if the letters G, F, Y mean anything to them...
Betcha the Beckhams will be a happier, more fulfilled, tighter family in 20 years than smaller families. Just predicting.
I fly for a living. Today I flew over a number of wind turbines that cover much of Massachusetts and are as ugly as sin. Not one of them actually moved today. But the envirofascists feel so GOOD about themselves (and don’t live where they actually have to see or hear them!)
This really pisses me off. I hate environazis. Good for the Beckhams.
This is the whole point of the "green" movement, and as far as they're concerned, it's "mission accomplished". No need to examine ANY issue any further than the point at which the liberal feels good about themselves.
Muzzie fertility is higher in the UK than in their home countries —the kids are paid for via socialism, right? But that’s not all; in many cases these people are marrying their cousins and so the incidence of mental retardation, etc. is SKY HIGH.
When it strikes, they often blame BRITISH MEDICINE and state that it’s Allah’s test.
So they import them, pay for them, then are blamed for genetic problems, then the healthy ones become extremists.
A perfect example of what NOT to do.
Have the environazis commented on the fact that Muslims in Great Britain have much larger families than non-Muslims?
Leftists just can’t bring themselves to criticize those who “breed” while on the dole.
Of course, many Muslim men reduce their family size by murdering their daughters if they suspect (with or without evidence) that their daughters are having any kind of relationship with non-Muslim men, so maybe the environazis have taken that into consideration.
That is pretty much the point of the author, Ms. Urban.
In fact, they reward them by letting them live in mansions that the average Brit family could never afford, ‘cause they need more space!
Actually, the problem is: they’re white. Minorities, not whites, may procreate.
And what have these British elites had to say to the Muslims who have many more children than native Brits, including the Beckhams?
The Beckhams are setting the example all native Westerners should be following in these days and times.
You’d think their ultra-consuming, jet-set lifestyle would be considered bad for the environment ... but no, it’s having a baby that’s going to destroy the earth. Tells you all you need to know about “environmentalists”: they don’t give a flying freep about pollution, they just hate the fact that other people exist.
There is a huge, ugly-ass wind turbine a few miles from my house. I drove by it yesterday. It wasn't moving. Why? We, like much of the country, are under a widespread heat dome. That's one thing about an area of high pressure, the winds tend to be calm or minimal. So just when you could use the energy, you don't have it.
My state has two nuclear plants. Both were churning away, grinding out the power, wind or no, heat or no, providing energy to keep everyone cool. Given the choice, I know which one I'd pick. Reliability alone, having power when you need it, is the clincher.
David Beckham named his new baby daughter ‘Harper Seven’ Costanza would be proud;) LOL!
In Western societies; before birth control, gay coupling and working women - hetero couples married at 20 and had 10 kids (my grandparents). Since the WWII baby boom I have to believe most families now have 1-2 kids, have them later in life and many men & women remain single or have no kids. Nature does the math.
If the ‘greenies’ are so concerned about overpopulation - there is a sacrificial alternative that would show their sincerity; SUICIDE!
Gotta love those death-worshiping Leftists! They see humanity as a virus on this planet and wish to eradicate it completely. How about they start with themselves first?
Heck, the Beckhams are creating jobs in this poor economy. Romeo is coming out with his own line of designer sunglasses for kids. They found an under-served market and are working to meet the need.
Actually, the trend to smaller families in the U.S. started during the depression. I remember my sister was born in November of l929, and that was the last my parents had. All up and down the block we lived on there were only one or two children. We were the exception, with three, until the family with 5 children moved in across the street. But that was it. I never thought much about it. We always had lots of kids to play with.
