The House won't hold what's expected to be a nail-biter of a vote on Speaker John Boehner's (R-Ohio) plan to raise the debt limit until after the closing of U.S. financial markets on Thursday.
A vote on Boehner's plan has been scheduled between 5:45 p.m. and 6:15 p.m., well after the U.S. stock market closes at 4:00 p.m.
The decision means lawmakers won't be casting their votes with plunging or rising markets as a backdrop. In the fall of 2008, the House rejected a financial bailout, and the Dow Jones Industrial lost hundreds of points.

The vote on Boehner's plan is expected to go down to the wire, as several Republicans have already announced their opposition, arguing it does not go far enough to tackle the deficit.
Twenty-two House Republicans are either planning to vote no or are leaning against the package, according to The Hill's Whip List. If no Democrats vote for the plan, Boehner can afford only 23 GOP defections. More than two dozen other Republicans are undecided.
Support for the package did gain some steam on Wednesday after some intense selling from Boehner and others, as several previously undecided members said they were leaning toward supporting it.

It’s pitiful and wrong that our nation’s economic condition has become so closely tied to the federal government’s policies.
In a free nation, the federal government should be so small that its follies would barely make any impact, except for national defense.
I think a dead duck would be as good as a cooked turkey. HA HA
TURDUCKEN is good......................
If you first termers wish to jump off the bridge with spineless boner, do not bother to say bye, just jump. You can always run as a democrap next year.
I just called my Pubbie Critter’s office. He’s gotten his a$$ in line and is supporting Boehner’s bill.
I suppose we will have to vote for the bill to see what’s in it. /S
“I just called my Pubbie Critters office. Hes gotten his a$$ in line and is supporting Boehners bill.”
Post his name. These traitors need to be called out and shown who’s the boss...US!
I head on CNN last night that there’s a “T-Party” member from Arkansas who has also gotten his ass in line. Burn his phones too. I’ll post his name when I track it down.
The state and national tea party types should give some thought to getting conservatives who are registered 'Rats to run in 'Rat primaries. That would increase the chances of voters being able to vote for a conservative since the letter after the name means bugger all any more.
Don't republicans realize the money Obama will borrow when the debt ceiling is raised is needed for him to "invest"?
He will "invest" it for more wealth redistribution, to buy votes, pay off his loyal labor union head knockers, channel graft and pay offs to supporters and whatever else is necessary to swing the 2012 election in his favor.
To withhold this money by refusing to raise the debt ceiling is rank partisanship!
Rep. Tom Reed (NY-29). Ruling class Republican. He’s a newbie, so it didn’t take long.

Arkansas First District Representative Rick Crawford is also caving.
Hmmmmm! I thought it represented a COOKED GOOSE!
At any rate; for my money, you can stick a fork in Boehner; he’s done!
Hope you set him straight that supporting that bill is like giving 0 a blank check.
We must all also remind these pubies that they cannot balance the blown out of proportion budget by balancing it on the backs on of our Military.

Yes both articles are FR posted.
Navy Times on Tue had a headline that they were going to start controlling their rations both stateside and at sea. We can’t afford the paper, and I didn’t find any google support.
