This is very revealing. So should individual states be allowed to legalize hiring a hit man to murder one's wife or husband or child? If not, why not? If he considers abortion a states' rights issue, he's (a) an idiot and (b) not pro-life. Maybe pandering to some strange group as well - pro-abortion Rs?
If Perry is such a strong supporter of States’ Rights, then he should remain governor and forget about POTUS.
Abortion should be illegal everywhere.
Bu at least if the “constitutional right” status of abortion were abolished, if the federal courts butted out of what wasn’t actually their concern, if authority over abortion law were returned to the states, it would be a HUGE improvement over what we have now.
In the meantime, we must strive to elect a President who will appoint the right kind of justices, and a Senate that will confirm them.
