I was very excited about Perry but now he is starting to concern me with this statement and the one the other day about homosexual marriage in New York. I’m on board with the 10th amendment too, but the tone he uses on these quotes seems to be giving aid & comfort to the left.

Perry is right that this should be governed by each state, this has been argued, cited and corrected on other threads already.

Rick Perry is pro-life. People need to do their own investigating instead of believing everything that others deliberately throw out there.

You forgot to precede your statement with “I’ve been a Republican all my life but...”

The problem with finding a great strict constructionalist constitutionalist is that then they are strict construtionalist constitutionalists, even when we don’t want them to be.

If you look back over the Fred Thompson threads in 2008, we had some of the same arguments, especially regarding a federal marriage amendment.
