Thank you. Thank you. Thank you! I was JUST readying to find the YouTube on this puerile, preposterous pronouncement from the father-of-the-year. It made me wonder when he made his anti-Falwell statement—one year, two years after his election? This is a pol the likes of which no dem dares compete in matters of principle. Is he senile? Or maybe he’s being held prisoner by Meghan and Cindi until he’s similarly brainwashed.

What an utter ass.

I'm not quite sure what McCain is getting at but his kind of thinking failed to get him elected President.

Captain McCain could best serve by retiring.

I knew John McCain didn't come up with this on his own.

Which is good news, because we still have a couple of old wizards from the Saruman school stuck there:

Now I have a new vision to see whenever I hear McCain talking. Here are some Saruman quotes from the movie (I don't have a digital copy of the books to search quickly) that are appropriate for a Senator/Wizard who is looking for the best deal in a complete sell out.

Saruman: Against the power of Mordor there can be no victory.

Saruman: We must join with Him, Gandalf. We must join with Sauron. It would be wise, my friend.
Gandalf: Tell me, "friend", when did Saruman the Wise abandon reason for madness?

Saruman: I gave you the chance of aiding me willingly, but you have elected the way of pain.

It would help if this guy had read “The Hobbit”.

Hobbits lived in the Shire. And Frodo, was given the mission to destroy EVIL.

I’ll be happy to return to Middle Earth just as soon as Mordor burns to the ground. (6’5” 300# knuckle dragging Hobbit)

and the tea-party Hobbits could return to Middle Earth having defeated Mordor.

Sounds good to me.

>>> By the way, that “crack political thinking” of the Tea Party might have offered up a couple of clunker candidates, but it also produced a 63-seat swing in the House for Republicans

Taking credit for the entire election is indicative of what the WSJ is talking about. In non-presidential years the opposition normally picks up seats regardless. And in 2010 Obama made it an especially ripe year.

In some races like Pa and SC, the Tea Party unquestionably made the difference. In other races it’s not so clear.

But what none of these critics have is an alternative strategy for achieving anything nearly as fiscally or politically beneficial as Mr. Boehner’s plan

Show me an itemization of the spending for each department, and I'll get back to you.

Boehner is out to destroy the TEA Party by promoting bills that cut nothing now & make fairytale cuts in the next 10 years.

May I remind Boehner, McCain, McConnell, & Co. who elected these conservative Congressmen: It was people who wanted the spending party in WDC ended, now, not in 10 mythical years.

If the TEA party Congressmen agree to this obvious sham, they are dead meat at the polls in Nov. 2012, & lap dogs of Boehner until then.

Hobbits rule. They bring down Sauron.
I would consider the title “Tea Party Hobbit” a compliment, but once again - this is an elitist thing.
Elitists just don’t “get” the Hobbit thing.
