Fine..then the chances are excellant that we lose the election.

It just may NOT turn out as you predict..
“LET a lot of the Fed. govt. go to seed”...it may be nothing, and that is what would happen...
but if our credit rating ( not the debt ceiling) tanks, if the markets spook and interest rates rise, we may have a real economic crisis.

I’m not a Cloward-Pivens fan of “Oh, just let everything collapse” and then we will change it all. That is called revolution and a leftist position.

I didn't say that. Letting something go to seed means you stop harvesting it. In other words, we stop the spending by brute force.

Then the tax receipts will pile up while the expenditures go down.

That improves our financial position, and shows the rating agencies we have some financial self-control, albeit limited, thereby delaying the downgrades.

The reason the left is going mental (even more than usual) is that they still hold the White Hut, the Senate, and the press, and yet the Tea Partiers aren't bending over.

It's not in the script of the last 40-50 years and they DON'T KNOW HOW TO REACT: and they used up all their hyperbole earlier on.

What are they going to say? Not only did we cast granny out in the street, but we ran over her with her own Buick?

And the race card is ALREADY overdrawn.

Get real.

Cheers!
