Boehner: You bet your ** I told my caucus to get their ** in line (WATCH VIDEO)

Laura Ingraham got the man of the hour on her show this morning, who confirmed that he did indeed tell the House Republican caucus to “get their asses in line” to pass his debt-ceiling proposal — once the rewrite comes in. Speaker John Boehner also explained how he and Mitch McConnell would keep the deficit-reduction commission it creates from raising taxes, especially — as Boehner reminds us — some tax hikes are already in place. Boehner explains that he wants to push the Cut, Cap, and Balance Act, but he wants to make sure that he and a Republican Senate can present it to a Republican President in 2013:

The key in this decision by Boehner seems to be his assessment that the GOP will lose leverage the closer we get to the deadline — whenever that might be. If that’s true, then Boehner is making a smart play by consolidating what rhetorical gains the GOP has made in this debate and getting to a rapid conclusion. After watching the Gang of Six play last week in the Senate take the momentum out of the CCB Act, it’s not hard to see why Boehner came to that conclusion. Can Boehner succeed in whipping his caucus to get the needed majority to pass his plan? At the moment, that seems iffy — but Boehner has had a good track record in holding his caucus in line over the last four years.

That’ll FREEZE everything.

The DC Elites on both sides will not like that. (Who Cares)

We lose passing a sham bill that doesn’t do anything.

Enough. I’ve been pragmatic this entire time, about not getting it all at once, but I’ve had enough of the GOP leadership. We had the freaking plan! CCB! Boehner telegraphed from Day 1 that we needed a backup.

What kind of negotiating is that? How f’n stupid can you be!? Boehner should be tossed into the streets by house conservatives NOW!

Dear John,

In 2012 the Tea Party will be thanking you for all your ‘support’ in the current budget fiasco. We have a lovely parting gift waiting for you called retirement. Hope you are looking forward to it.

the CBO scored Boehner’s plan,
as reducing the deficit LESS than Reid’s plan !!!

why do you want good tea party conservatives,
to be loyal to THAT ?!?

...it gives Obama and Reid what they want,
and lets them blame us on top of it!

Boehner needs to be sent home... CRYING !

JUST LET THE AUGUST 2 DEADLINE PASS AND DON’T PASS ANY NEW DEBT CEILING.

That’ll FREEZE everything.

That will force an immediate 40% real cut as I understand it since the 2011 budget is that far out of balance.

They CAN’T AUTOPILOT IT UNLESS THEY BORROW MORE MONEY.

The Conservatives are going to lose 2012, unless they learn about UNITY, AND STICKING TOGETHER.

NO. It will be the RINO’s and Moderates filling out applications at Trent Lott’s DC lobbying firm after 2012.

Boehner and Cantor do not represent me anymore. They are sellouts to obamma and the RATS. As far as I am concerned, the Republican Party is just a sham party, filled to the brim with Rinos.

And What’s not to like? We survived on a similar budget before Obama took over as President, Did the world end then?

You are incorrect. If the ceiling is not raised, present spending is immediately cut 1.4 trillion.

That’s not a freeze. That’s 1.4 trillion less than FY2011 spending.

In fact, it’s much more than that because GDP would immediately get smacked by the 1.4 Trillion reduction, firings would explode, and tax revenue would collapse from the loss of employment.

So the cut would be MORE than 1.4 trillion because of that loss of revenue and literally, people would die.

This is not to suggest that no cuts should occur. This is to point out that there is no solution and the end of our society is near.

Boehner explains that he wants to push the Cut, Cap, and Balance Act, but he wants to make sure that he and a Republican Senate can present it to a Republican President in 2013:

This is the mentality that is going to get us the exact opposite. They keep screwing around and we won't have a republican president...hell we may not even have a freakin' country left in 2013.

Until 2008, the budget for the United States remained reasonably under control. This can be seen here:

What has happened during the Obama administration? Take a look :

So, given this, What might a spending solution look like? Here's a plan I like:

The projected federal expenditure numbers from 2011 to 2018 are a "glide path" to bring federal spending back to sustainable levels. Since we are currently 6.4 percentage points over the sustainable level of 19%, 25.4% for fiscal 2011, the model presented here takes seven years to reduce federal spending back to 19% of GDP.

"Reduce" here means as a percent of GDP since the actual numbers do not decrease. It is similar to the downward slope in spending as a percent of GDP during the Clinton administration (when Both Houses were controlled by the GOP).
