America is not mentioned as a nation in Bible prophecy. Is that defeatist?

The rapture could very well happen before Nov 2012. Then Obama/NWO/Islam can destroy this world as instruments of God’s wrath, just as He has always used the heathen to impart His judgement and discipline.
