Newt is easily swayed by socialists in a rage frenzy. He’s afraid of them and way to beholden to their false sense of superiority - elitism.
This “we are smarter and better than everyone” is an attitude required for the socialist ego to think they are the superior ones to rule over weak inferiors. Newt has a lot of this socialist ego going for himself.
