Arkansas Democrats face extinction
By ALEX ISENSTADT | 7/26/11 4:42 AM EDT
The last time Republicans had full control of the Arkansas congressional delegation, a battle-ravaged United States was picking up the pieces from the Civil War.
Now, with the retirement of Democratic Rep. Mike Ross, the GOP is well positioned to once again sweep all four of the states House seats, giving the party domination in a state that has long been a Democratic power center in the South.

That is the question. The answer will be determined in a few months, in the primary election. My guess is that the new representatives will be establishment types, career lawyer-politicians who majored in political science as undergrads, former congressional interns, active in the party since their teenage years. Any regular citizens that attempt a run will find another supposedly non-establishment type on the ballot, to split their vote, resulting in the establishment type described above winning the primary election. JMHO.
YEAH!!!!!!! It is about time. We need to get rid of the Democratic controlled State Leg next.
Actually the Dems were all DINOs, fairly conservative Southern Democrats, like the voting population. The Dem party is simply moving too far to the left for the voters.
