As far as this civilian has understood planes can be un-mothballed.

If we’re about to lock horns with a new version of 1980’s Soviet Union, perhaps those should be refilled and put back in the air.

So long as we are limited by the laws of physics as we know it within the Earth’s atmosphere, it will never be bested.

It was, quite simply, the most perfect flying craft humans will ever make until there is a fundamental change in physics and our use thereof.

There’s one at the Pima Air Force Museum in Tucson. Also Ike’s Air Force One. Also several different Migs. It’s a neat place.

There is or was one at the Marshall Spaceflight Center Visitor’s Center. It looked fast just sitting still. Marvelous aircraft. Probably the best overall aircraft of its kind the world has ever seen.
