I was listening to Rush today as he took a caller named "Carl", who identified himself as a millennial 24 year old and who also sounded fairly well educated. He made the claim to Rush that he the main reason why we are in such a great level of debt was due to the Wars and mainly because GWB gave a tax cut to the very rich and that specifically that Tax Cuts were "Government Spending". This is why we have a deficit. So Rush held him over a break and then he really attempted to get from Carl why he felt that cutting HIS taxes was the same as an Increase in Government Spending.
Basically Carl told Rush that he was happy to view his income as "the Government's Money". Rush really did allot to try to explain to him that it was HIS money, not THEIR money. But to no avail.
Then I had this thought and it really sort-of put a bit of a concern in me. If Carl sees his money as belonging to the Government, then its for darn sure that he sees my money as belonging to the Government.
This is Kook-speal level stupid.
This is Michael Moore going to Wisconsin and telling the people that there is plenty of money there to solve the problem - its in the wealthy people's banks accounts and it really the Government money anyway.
But this isn't Michael Moore, its some well spoken sounding 24 year old from KY (I think).
So if this is what young people his age think, how much trouble are we all really in?

Well that's all well and good, but I want to hear him explain the same about MY money.
Under Communist rule, Government controls every aspect of each person’s life, from birth to death, and after death as inherited wealth is taken by the State and re-distributed as they see fit.
Born in a Government hospital by a Government doctor
Live in Government housing
Educated in Government schools
Work in a Government job
Die and be buried in a Government cemetary
Government is the Alpha and Omega, they control the little people with their wisdom.
The idea that one’s money (property) was the government’s money is the ultimate aim of the pregressive movement. I bet this young man got some of that thinking from his so-called Christian church. Progressive Social Justice is being pushed in the churches too.
Before the advent of modern-day liberalism, that mindset was called “pro-slavery.”
Many on FR view it as the same thing. If you have a tax break, or tax credit, it is viewed as a hand out.
Is Carl’s divorced mother a public school teacher, psychologist, social worker, dog catcher, planning office employee, wildlife biologist or government-dependent corporate manager (contractors, services with government-supported customers, etc.)?
My kids are about that age and they know better.

In fairness to Carl, he didn’t come out and make that claim.
But you have to think that if you extend his line of thinking to other folks that this is exactly where he ends up.
You bring up good points. I might even take it a step further. If we follow Carl’s logic and agree that all our money is essentially government money, then the time we spend to make said money must also be government time. Wouldn’t that then make us all slaves to the government?
Don’t know about educated, if you’re equating that with intelligence. An articulate fool might be a more apt description.
Stuck on stupid.
It's the thought process of the professional thief who actually believes it's HIS MONEY in YOUR POCKET.
Nothing more to it than that.
It's also one of the reasons numerous otherwise humane and civilized societies down through the centuries have EXECUTED THIEVES.
Sounds harsh, but this may well be an hereditary problem and the only way to deal with it is to adjust the genome.

Note: this is not MY explanation, but what I’ve seen leftists try to put forward as an explanation.

I’m not kidding - this is what they think.
It would be nice to have a “lib aquarium” somewhere to observe this thought process, where they were actually open and honest about what they believe.
