We are exhausted, and scared to death, always..

Welcome to my life, since 2006. My wife and I have almost become numb to deprivations that we would have thought unthinkable, just five years ago.

If I wasn't a born optimist, I couldn't survive it. I'm just looking forward to next year, when we throw Obama's ass to the curb, and start getting this country back on the right track.

Most of us are in the same situation.

My husband and I feel insecure and we have managed to hang on to some of our savings, still have income, although it is much reduced, have paid off the house and have even retained a few, reduced, luxuries. Those luxuries are things that were just commonly accepted lifestyle three short years ago.

At some point, you acclimate to anxiety and insecurity and come out the other side. You just cannot live forever in that state. The state we are in can best be described as numb.

For me, I look at all the folks who have lost even more than we have and, like us, are not eligible for any government assistance. We help where we can and have noticed how many others are willing to go out of their way for us, when they can. It is times like that when we realize we are fortunate to have spent nearly 40 years in a rural area where people are more connected to each other.

The worst, for us, is that every time we think we have found some way to compensate for yet another increase in costs, fees, taxes, prices coupled with reductions in income, along comes our local government finding new ways to make our life impossible.

Even when we get rid of zerO, the donks are in control in so many local governments, that they will still be there to impose more restrictions on us.
