"In an effort to reach a bipartisan compromise, we are putting together a $2.7 trillion deficit reduction package that meets Republicans' two major criteria: it will include enough spending cuts to meet or exceed the amount of a debt ceiling raise through the end of 2012, and it will not include revenues. Sounds like this is a cave by the dimocrats if this is true.

Link says the “Reid Plan” is the Pelosi plan? WTH? GOP, drop this sh*t like it’s...sh*t. Peloser will come back to haunt you by saying “give me back the house, it was my plan that saved us...blah, blah, blah...”

Kurtz's final analysis states "This is basically the plan Nancy Pelosi outlined Friday."
That about sez it all.

If they’re trying to avoid a downgrade, Standard & Poor’s has already stated they need to see $4 Trillion, nothing less. An not $4Trillion cut “in the out years”, but now, and demonstrably. So when the Democrats put it in a bill, that can be examined and debated, then we can know it’s more than a PR campaign.
By the way, doesn’t it seem plausible that the whole reason Democrats no longer put anything down on paper is because of Fox News, Talk Radio, Social Networks and the engaged Tea Party mean that the exposing of what they say vs. what they write down is easier to expose?

Harry knows the “cuts” will never take place. There is no budget to cut from. The only way to stop additional spending is to not increase the debt ceiling.

“...and it will not include revenues”
as in, we won’t pass law concerning responsible means to revenue and we will increase taxes again as soon as you aren’t paying attention. We know your attention span is about as long as our sound bites.

How much are the cuts in 2012? How will the CBO score this?
When will it be in writing and voted on? Just more crap.

I think Harry knows he can't even hold the his own fascist party in line and is trying desperately to avoid having the House send another bill over he hasn't defused before it gets to the Senate. Harry better wise up and dump the whole thing on the desk of King Barry and leave it to the little two year old in charge to have tantrums over.

Why don't they just vote on the Congressional Democrat's budget from last year?
Oh wait, that's right...Hussein's allies in Congress haven't produced a budget for more than 800 days!!!
To pretend like these fascist morons are serious about America's fiscal health is an exercise in stupidity.
God speed, John Boehner. Stand fast.

1) It gets them past the 2012 election
2) It includes NO balanced Budget Amendment provision
3) It offers NO mechanism by which to HOLD CONGRESS or the PRESIDENT to the “proposed cuts” they claim to be setting forth....
The measure is deemed insufficient on at least these 3 grounds.....
