Even old man McCain would have beaten Obama if the media had been neutral and objective. The big lie is that raising the ceiling will keep our bond rating. It won’t. It is because we are continuing to spend what we cannot pay for, not even with fake money from the fed, that Moodys and S&P will not keep our rating. This information is ALL over the financial nets and internet. People in the know, know that Reid screwed up.
What IS different is the marxist in the office who WANTS the default. Who wants to terrify dependent consituencies— but interestingly certain segments of these constituencies do not believe him. If Geithner will not service our interest on our debts, it will be and executive decision to do so— that is at the President’s instruction. If so, this bozo is seriously burnt toast. One thing for sure he is not Bill Clinton (who is obviously coaching him to failure for Hills to come to the rescue-— dem primary challenge-remember the Rothschild woman and the PUMAs). Deo Vindice.

It sounds like something I should have seen but I simply cannot watch him any more. I had difficulty watching him after the acceptance speech back in 2008 and it has reached the point that I just cannot stomach it any longer.

What are you talking about? The war is won in the PR department. In the real world, you can be right 100% of the time and still loose on the PR front...and hate to break it to you, but the Republicans are doing just that. Polls already show that the GOP is being held responsible for this.

My post was in response to your comments about Clinton and Gingrich in 1995. Did you read the post? There are specific items mentioned there that have everything to do with working out who is on the ropes right NOW, and desperate— and it is not the GOP.
Whom do you say has won the war in the PR department— and based on what? There are over 20 million Americans who formerly had careers who are not employed— not burger flippers or obama campaign workers or academics. They know the score and they do not believe the “old” media. Which is why the dems are freaking. The playbook isn’t working and not for the RINOs either.
Media has changed, as has the electorate since 1995- if you do not think so, then it is easy to understand your comments, and your fears that somehow we are crashing and burning. The demographics are shifting against the democrats in demonstrated ways. obama is not clinton. That was 16 years and 9/11 ago
If you do not know about hedge funds, Goldman Sachs, little timmy geithner, Mr. Paulson (liar of TARP fame and Goldman VP), Moodys and S&P’s rating agency’s public statements that raising the ceiling will not stop a downgrade in rating, then perhaps you should look into it. It is commendable that you come to FR for this forum and information readily posted on the forum (see IBD editorial posted yesterday for example). No moral victory implied or assumed— the conflict is still on.
The PR battle, as we are so well informed by the hand wringers at Fox and co, the lamestream media, MSNBC and other various organs of the directed state media (who have their push-”polls” and those who believe them and let them think for them) has only just begun.
There are many longtime FR contributors here. People who are in various positions of inside knowledge and activist conservative experience, as well as insight. The term newbie is a description, determined by the date on which a poster joined FR. Since you are sensitive to that term you should know that it is used commonly here, especially when someone uses phrases like “the Republicans” (for this forum that is an interesting usage) and “Polls show”, “moral victory” “big bucket of FAIL”, and “where you can shove that too” give longtime FR contributors an idea of a poster’s demeanor and profile. Expect to be called out and challenged for statements/opinions about “polls” and “FAIL” etc. if there is nothing to support them and much to deny them. It certainly is NOT about “elevated status”.
