LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) -- A forensic psychiatrist told a jury Friday that the man accused of fatally shooting a soldier at a military recruiting station in Arkansas suffers from a mental disorder that taints his thinking.

Dr. Shawn Agharkar testified that Abdulhakim Muhammad has delusions - fixed, false beliefs - that puff up his perception of himself and make him think he's being persecuted because he's a Muslim.

Unless you are a drooling gork, trying the insanity defense in the US is *not* the way to go. If you get an “insane” verdict, you will likely be put into a state hospital and drugged into a 23-hour a day coma for the rest of your natural life.
