I don’t remember the House and Senate voting on the repeal.
Did They?
If not, how can Obama repeal a law debated and voted on by Congress years ago?
Congress voted on repeal in December or January. Remember Sen. Toomey of PA was a big gay backer and deceived some of his original suppoerters.
Senate voted 65-31 with Susan Collins (R-Maine), Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), Mark Kirk (R-Ill.), Scott Brown (R-Mass.), Olympia Snowe (R-Maine), John Ensign (R-Nev.), Richard Burr (R-N.C.), and George Voinovich (R-Ohio) voting with the Democrats to repeal.
The bill passed in the House 250-175 on Dec. 16. Judy Biggert (R-IL13), Anh "Joseph" Cao (R-LA2), Charles Djou (R-HI1), Ron Paul (R-TX14), Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL18) voted for repeal. 26 Dems voted against.
Cao & Djou lost to Democrats in 2010. The others were reelected.
DADT was voted on during the lame duck session, Christmas eve I think. Just like all other destructive bad legislation. Cowards.
