Isnt that the truth!

I’m waiting to see whom will be the first person to print a similar story from MSNBC and scream “CAVE”!

He did the same thing when getting hosed on the budget. He is Obama’s little tool and needs to go.

So, to recap..

Our speaker: Boehner. Spineless, “go along to get along” RINO who “just wants to be liked so he can be invited to the right Washington cocktail parties” (and sure seems to bawl a lot, often for no obvious reason).

Their speaker: Pelosi. Eats her own young for political advantage, will rip out her opponent’s heart (and other vital organs) and have them for breakfast.

‘Nuff said.

And we wonder why we lose.

leftist looters will never ever be appeased or have enough. No matter how much “revenue” is given to them, they want more and more and more revenue until enslavement is complete and we are ALL hoarded into their pig-sty plantations and become thereupon the ward of the big brother state and at their cursed disposal.

“A crystal clear sign the Republicans are gonna cave is that they’re using the Democrat term “increased revenue”, or simply “revenue” to refer to a tax hike. Take that to the bank.”

Good observation - when republicans use rat weasel words, be assured that the rats are winning.

Dude, that was so good that it bears a repeat:

“I don’t like this Boehner character; I think he is far too soft (that’s my nice speak for “he is compromised). However, I don’t think the guy is an idiot. He knows damn well that a tax increase will deep six the economy.
America can pay her bills; what the fight is over right now is how much shit the socialists (in both parties) can keep without the public lynching them. They know straight up we could cut all sorts Federal Agencies and the people would never, ever notice. The Federal Government wastes entirely too much of the citizenry’s taxes as it is and it is time the Federal Government (and many, many state governements) are drawn in and made (forcibly if necessary) to operate in the lean.

Guess what D.C? You had your fun. You went on a drunken spending spree and now you have to live with it as well.

NO. MORE. OF. OUR. MONEY. As a matter of fact, cut the deadbeats off the dole and give ME back WHAT IS MINE.

/freaking tired of the bullshit games the politicians are playing (and the media I might add).”

Bravo!

I could support some federal income tax hikes ... on the 52% who currently pay NO federal income taxes. Why should ALL of the tax burden rest on the backs of 48%? The current tax-bracket structure is prejudicial and punishes success.

I could support a tax hike on corporations (read GE) who use tax law to avoid contributing anything to the revenue of the country in which they do business.

Labor unions should also have to pay taxes since they’re engaged in political activities. Imagine if labor unions had to pay taxes rather than being allowed to use their revenue exclusively for political donations and favors.

How about taxing those businesses that have received waivers for ObamaCare? Consider the financial savings they achieve by not complying with ObamaCare as income.

>>Boehner was on Rush. Said: “There is no deal. No deal publicly; no deal privately.”

This needs to be repeated over and over.

A default is only real if Zero refuses to pay our creditors. There is plenty of money coming in to the coffers to pay the upkeep on the debt.

>>>Did you not hear Moody’s threat?
>>>That is serious.

Doesn’t Moody’s need a Congressional investigation on the ratings of American companies dating back to 2008 or so? I seem to remember that there were so many rating mistakes at that time. This might be the time for the Republican Congress to talk to them.

When I heard that Moody’s was getting in on the side of the Democrats, I couldn’t help but think the bankers N-E-E-D more money for bad investments in the sinking P-I-I-G-S (Portugal, Italy, Ireland, Greece, Spain). So they’re pushing for loose money (raised debt limit).

I was afraid of that because the portion I heard from him I felt the same way almost as if it was a double fake out and in fact they did have a compromise like the NYT was indicating and Boehner so denied. Ugh

You can't believe someone who is always making contradicting statements. I don't think anyone believes this guy wouldn't have caved easily in the very beginning without all the pressure Conservatives have been putting on him. He needs to lose his position and power in the Republican party and be replaced with a real Conservative who doesn't need to be constantly pressured to do what most Republicans want him to do, even if he does end up doing the right thing in the end this time.

He did not give specifics. Just said something like there are all sorts of proposals. Said he supports CCB, but it would be irresponsible not to investigate other options, and at least keep the lines of communication open.

I think he is a lousy poker player. If it was me, I would just say the House has done its part; we passed a budget, and a debt ceiling increase. It is now up to the Senate to pass it and Obama to sign it.

If the Senate does not like it as is, the procedure is for them to pass a plan and go to the reconciliation conference committee, and we have been waiting almost 2 years for them to pass a budget, so they need to get with it cause time has just about run out.

It is the Senate with a Democratic majority who is failing the American people through continued inaction.
