Carney: Economy Has "Vastly Improved" Since Obama Was Sworn In
Real Clear Politics ^

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney: "Well, two things remain uncontestably true. The economy is vastly improved from what it was when Barack Obama was sworn into office as president. We were in economic free-fall. There were predictions that we were headed to the second Great Depression. We were losing up to, over 700,000 jobs a month, we were contracting at greater than 6 percent -- our economy was. So, the economy has improved. It has not improved enough. "Well, there's no question that we face headwinds, and the president has been very direct about that. And we need to do everything we can, across the front, to ensure we're doing what we can to spur growth, spur job creation."

The way it works is:
1) The people who OWN mac, the crybaby liar, daddies soul, which he sold to become POTUS, tell HIM what to say, do and where to go.
2) Mac, the crybaby liar in turn tell his administration moron slaves what to say, do and where to go.

Is this the dumbest human on the face of the planet or does he just make this stuff up? Of course one has to consider who he works for...the liar in chief.

Demonstrably false. The difference however is that were it a Republican statement, the Dems would be all over it - from Schumer and Wasserman-Schultz all the way down the line, they would be on TV all day today, and for the next week, hammering away at this ludicrous statement - painting the president as deluded and out of touch. By contrast, Republicans will shake their heads and/or a few writers will wtie pithy columns in low-circulation conservative magazines analyzing the factual inaccuracies. The GOP has no idea how to go on the offensive.

The GOP has no idea how to go on the offensive. I agree, especially with respect to the so-called "Establishment."
I've never seen such a bunch of timid political cowards.

I suppose that I can see his point... The economy is "improving." People are spending a lot more money now than when Obama was inaugurated.
For instance, I know the other day when I went to the grocery store, I spent about a dollar more for a carton of OJ, which BTW, is now 59oz rather than the 64oz container that it used to be. I'm paying quite a bit more for canned goods too, and they're now 15oz, rather than 16oz.
And gasoline prices are way higher than they were back then.
So yes, I guess I can see how they would think that the economy is better. After all, people are spending more. And they see this as a "good thing."

The primary Obama constituancy prefers no jobs, and no kids

Orwell was more prophetic than he perhaps realized. I love that public announcement from 1984 that notifies everyone that their cholocate ration will ne increased from 100 grams per month to 50. Fits the current regime blather about unemployment, doesn't it?

For who?
Suicide hot lines; mental health counselors; drug dealers?
He's actually a really funny guy!!
For the first time in history; our nation is facing a previously unthinkable default. Obama’s been in charge 2 1/2 years and he has taken us to the brink of default. And the economy has “improved”???
Too funny!!!

Perhaps Carney could explain his definition of "improved"?

Everyone who has enjoyed the fruits of the “vastly improved” economy will vote for Obama. Everyone else should not.
